How/Why is West Cyde Wings closed on a basketball game night?

It was when I was in college, but I haven't heard good things about the recent ownership.

Probably haven't been there in 3 years, but there was a time where it was better food for less money than BWW. We used to watch every road basketball game in college up there.

Didn't WCW advertise here at one time? Wasn't it the greatest place in the world, until it wasn't any more?

Wcw delivered which was nice. Nowhere near the amount of delicious sauces BWW has though. Smaller wings as well.

Never had trouble with service at either place.

Speaking of places to eat on basketball game nights... We went to Legends last night to get the two dollar draws and 2 dollar tacos. HORRIBLE. They had two people working, one at the bar, and one server. We ended up getting half the tacos we ordered and the meat was medium rare. The deal on beer was great but the 10 minutes it took to get a refill was not worth it.

I haven't been their forever but, man... that place went down hill.

I agree their food is average at best. But if you think of the location, you'd think it would be a cool place to hang out and be packed...the place is just ran terribly.

Someday someone will turn that place into a bad *** restaurant/bar. Just not Legend's.

On the plus side, at least its a lot harder for someone to run their suv into the legends in ames.

But yeah, that location is one that could be the premier destination restaurant spot in ames.

I've never ate at the one in Ames, but I've never liked the few I've been too. Really poor service every time I've been to one.

WCW was on it's 3rd set of owners since opening. They had really cleaned the place up. I know business had increased for them but must not have been enough. Their boneless wings were second to none. I've frequented both, and for BWW, all I can say is their burgers are much better than their wings, although it's a great place to catch a game and drink.

Both places suck period. BWW wings are not good and the service is bad, just like WCW. Why cant there be a good wings place in ames? I am not even close to a complainer when going out, but never had good experiences at either place. Boji's wings are okay, but such a better place I love Boji Grill!!

Fuddruckers might be the worst burger place I have ever been to. Al, you need to reassess your taste in food. I thought you were better than that.
