I thought it was great, and if I were a recruit I would've loved it. That said, it's a card that you can't play very often, otherwise it'll just be sour grapes.

He wasn't playing a card.

I'm sure the "get off my lawn, hey-you-down-in-front" crowd is uneasy about the rant.

I've been waiting for Paul to have a moment like this all year. He has been so mum in his PC's, and now he has a fire in his ***, and that's a good thing!

Its being talked about on Dallas sports talk radio today often. 1310 The Ticket just played the 1:30 of audio.

It cant hurt anywhere, and it REALLY cant hurt in north Texas.

Playing again now on the noon to 3:00 show. Im sure evening drive will play it too.

The commentary is pretty positive towards Iowa State and CPR. Similar to Dan Patrick. By pretty positive I guess I mean they arent making fun of CPR like he is Mike Gundy or something.

I think it's embarrassing. Yeah you might have got a bad call but freakin deal with it like a professional. Why were they even in that position? Couldn't score a TD and kept giving Texas yards in penalties.

I think you too closely associated your self image with a football team you have no part of and will never be a part of.

I think the post game rant was excellent. He said what needed to be said and knocked it out of the park in the process.

My point remains, you can't have a rant like that every week/month/year or it becomes it's own issue.

Yeah, no. I completely disagree. Just watched the video of the press conference, and you can "rant" like that as often as it is warranted. We got screwed, he points it out, and points out how it impacts his players. Another perfect thing to say at the perfect time.

It's not a rant because it is deserved. Ranting is when you are going on too long about something or when you are talking about something that isn't an issue. He spoke about a blown call at the press conference immediately following the game. This is perfectly acceptable and makes him more attractive to recruits.
