NU has some positives, but, there are huge negatives also. The new coach won't know who the new AD, his boss, is going to be. That has to be some concern. The new coach does know who the "man behind the screen" is - Harvey Perlman, Chancellor. Perlman worked hand in glove with the AD and is largely responsible for the last four years - he seems to be escaping public scrutiny and accountability - the underlings taking all the blame.
We shouldn't discount institutional allegiance in the recruiting game. Many kids grow up as fans of one school or develop attachments at summer camps. Those are tough bonds to break. A senior year visit from a coach can do only so much.
