I like this sale. Picked up a lot last year. But its too bad that there nothing higher end. I was hoping for better tequila.

Deals this year don't seem quite as good as years past, but I suppose that's inflation. I'll still pop in and grab a few things.

There were 20 or so people camped out in front of the Urbandale HyVee Wine and Spirits store at 10:00 today. I am not sure for what. I hope not to wait until Friday! Some had lawn chairs.

Might need to drive up to Ames. That deal on Woodford looks good

Yeah dropped almost a couple hundred this morning at the Ames one. Rum, vodka, and mulberry gin. Considering you can get a handle of Tito's for $25 at the Ames loc and only a 750 ml bottle of it at Urbandale for for $15, that't a pretty decent savings compared to driving to Urbandale.

Anyone make it to the Urbandale HyVee yet? What did you get? Was it total chaos?

I'm planning to go late this morning so hopefully the big morning rush is gone by then. I'm not really loading up on anything in particular but I plan to buy several different things to have a better variety in the liquor cabinet.

I went at about 7:45, was pretty busy but not close to how busy it was last year on Friday afternoon. Kept it light, spent just over $200 on a variety of things - stocked up on vodka & picked up a couple bourbons I haven't tried.

BIL was there around 7:30 and said it wasn't busy. Got me a couple bottles of 43 Licor for me for mini beer shots.

I still have plenty of everything from prior sales but might pick up some bourbon or scotch I haven’t had. Was thinking of trying the Wilderness Trail Rye and Old Elk Wheated.

Wilderness Trail (wheat, not rye) was one of the ones I picked up. Also grabbed a Yellowstone.

Just got back - it's a zoo in there right now but got through the line to checkout in under 5 minutes.
