After all this mess I did it. I logged onto Cyclone Club and printed out the form, wrote a check and sent it in.

I'd like to challenge any of you fans to do the same. We dodged a bullet this time, but without the upgrade in support we could end up on the wrong end of the stick next time.

If you're already a member think about upping it. If you're not a member, join. You can get in for $100 a year - that's less than $10 a month. You probably spend more than that on Netflix or gaming. Support your freaking teams! Wake UP!

Part of it for me is I just want ISU to continue to compete at the top level. I could not stand playing in the MAC or even the Mountain West. Even if we never reach the pinnacle I like the idea that we're at least on the radar screen and the POSSIBILITY is there. Look how close we were in BB ten years ago.

I had no idea we were so off the radar screen on a national level. All the radio call ins were sad. It's like we didn't even exist.

Let's crank it up a notch or two! We got two up and coming coaches in FB and BB and now is the time to give the Athletic Dept a boost.

PS: I am in no way affiliated with the Cyclone club - they haven't sent my membership info yet, LOL.

I'm thinking about doing this as well. Now that I'm out of school and making some money, I'd like to join. Although, I don't have a lot of money to throw around since I am paying off some loans, etc, I'd like to at least join for the $100/year. I figure its only $8.33/month, which is just going out to eat one less time.
Now, my question is: what ways can you pay for this? I'd really like to pay it monthly, but do they have this option? I rather do it that way because it seems cheaper than paying $100 all at once. haha

you can pay monthly...with a debit card, based on a predetermined date. i.e. first business day of the month. go for it...

I did it with a check because I just wanted to do it that way. I get hinky giving too much info on line and I was at work at the time and didn't want to use the computer/server at work (big brother)

I know you can charge to either MC, Visa, or Discover. I think they will do a quarterly charge. I didn't pay that much attention since I was doing a check. All the options are there on the web site on the form.

Oh good, thanks. Maybe I can donate a little more, since paying those small payments always make it seems like less.:biggrin:

Yep, here's a couple links:

National Cyclone Club Home - Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - The home of Iowa State Cyclone Sports

https://www2.ats.iastate.edu/CyClub/CyClubApp.aspx?SPSID=61064&SPID=6625&DB_OEM_ID=10700

In the 'Amount to Be Charged Today' section right above your C.C. number, I assume that's where you could put $10.

Great Job....tell your friends!

That reminds me, the hub has a credit for working some track meets this year, we'll basically double what he received in credit for our donation. I need to get that in ASAP.

I've been auto-depositing $50 from every paycheck into a savings account for my personal use after I forgot last year that my Homeowner's Association dues and flood insurance are not taken care of through escrow (also for car emergencies). I should have enough left over next April to up from Century to at least State's 250, hopefully Cardinal, and kick a donation to the Gridiron Club.
