i don't think there is anyway they can keep him on the team. I say let him go to the ICubs and gain a little humility.

Can't. They'd have to give him his release, and still pay him the $20 million or so he's still owed.

This has worked out great.

Yup, but not really unexpected. Lots of people were against a big money, long term signing for Bradley from the get go. The thing is -- he is actually a good player. The Cubs will probably move him, get back little talent and have to eat part of the salary, and then Bradley will put up good numbers where he goes. It's just hard to fathom a scenario where this ends well.

Hendry had a terrible year, and it's worth a look around to see who can do better. I think Piniella should get next year. Would be cool if they brought Ryne up to be the bench coach and then to take over. Although, I would love for Brenly to manage the team after Lou.

I would DL him for the season so that clause about his knee kicks in where they can guy him out for $2 mil for the 3rd season. Would make it a touch easier to trade him that way too I'd think.
