Also, 4 straight 23+ win seasons, out of the 8 we have all-time.
2 straight 24+ win seasons, out of 5 all-time
2 straight 25 win seasons, out of 4 all-time.
This is the longest, most sustained success right now that Iowa State has ever had, with a program that continues to grow and improve.
The worst part of this is just how embarrassing it is. If we had lost in the round of 32, i really wouldn't be too down about it.
Guys I'm a lurker from a team you love to hate. I've known the pain of an early out when expectations were high. It sucks. And partly because that sour taste lingers because there are months to go before you can recoup. But you will recover.
ISU has been (from my perspective) scary good the last few seasons. And there is no question that will continue. The NCAA is a crap shoot and yesterday was the most bizarre I can recall.

Sometimes, for me, it is as simple as asking myself if I had fun.
I had fun being a fan this year. It was fun. There were some amazing wins. Some great play. Add in last year and it was simply amazing.
At times this year, I had to stop and remind myself how great it was. Lucky is the best word to describe it. I've been lucky to be an Iowa State basketball fan.

The team deserves to be criticized for yesterday's performance. You won't change my mind. Doesn't mean I'm not a fan, or that I won't cheer for them next year, or that the good from this season is negated. But yesterday's performance was awful in every way and deserves criticism.
This was a great year, with a tough unexpected ending. I loved every minute of it! After losing two AA, this team picked right up and served up entertaining basketball all year. We are now a basketball PROGRAM! Thanks Coach Hoiberg, staff, and players...you represent Cyclones everywhere so well! Can't wait to get my tickets ordered for next year.
On a side note...We got the same shots we got all year, they just didn't go down. I don't know about you, but I'm not perfect at my job everyday either. Also glad I don't do my job in front of TV cameras. The negative comments about OUR PLAYERS needs to stop. Pretty sure they are hurting more than us. Remember these are young men who work their tails off year round, and also go to school. Chins up men...true Cyclones hurt with you, but still love you! Cyclones are family!

You do what you want, but it's a pretty ****** thing to do to people who you have no direct contact with.
Make sure Georges knows that most of us had a ton of fun this year and any disappointment is because it will be a long wait until November!
Been a fan for almost 50 years.
The show these guys put on this year at the Big 12 Tournament was AMAZING. I had my son and grandson with me for those 3 games. I will forever be indebted to this years team and coaches for those memories. WOW!!!
The season didn't end like we wanted it to. The players and the coaches are hurting a whole lot more than we fans are. A whole bunch more. Trust me on this. But folks, I will take a season like this any time over most of the others I have experienced in the past 50. It was a great great year. I believe next year will be even better. We have great players/individuals who care. We have great coaches who care. We are damn fortunate to have these people in our Men's BB program. Go Cyclones!

We'd be stupid to think the players shrugged off yesterday's performance. As ****** as everyone on this board is, I can't imagine what our team is going through right now and will every day for a long time.
The throwing under the bus of practically every player on this board is embarrassing and disheartening. What entitles anyone to do that? The fact that you watch the team? ISU lost after a great season. Get over it. We should be congratulating our team for what they did.
