We know all of our employees here at the ODC may not be regular Nebraska Husker or Iowa Hawkeye fans, but since all of our ODC employees live in Nebraska or Iowa, and this being the first year of the Nebraska Huskers vs. the Iowa Hawkeyes era in Big 10 College Football, we wanted to do something to commemorate this big game. We ask that for this significant game that employees choose one of the two teams to support for fun.

We will have a little kick-off to celebrate the beginning of this exciting new era in college football and would like you all to be a part of it. With it coming up so quickly we didn’t have time to plan as much as we would have liked to, but hope to add to this event next year.
They are also asking that we wear either Husker or Hawkeye gear to support the team you chose to support. There is no way I am spending one thin dime on a shirt for either team.

Go with your ISU gear. Tell them it's too hard for you to pick between Nebraska and Iowa, and that you think of them as equal.

I like the comment about it coming up so quickly. They've known about this for about 2 years.

Choice 1: Where cardinal and gold with no insignias and avoid any black or white completely.

Choice 2: Where a Swiss flag shirt, red background with white cross and claim neutrality.

I'd go with the ISU gear. If it causes a problem go to HR and mention the words, "hostile work environment."

This just goes to show the arrogance of both fan bases. They both suck this year and Knu would be middle of the pack BigXII at best. Iowa would struggle with Tech.

Tell them that it's not a big game for you and you refuse to lower yourself to be a fan of one of these 2 teams

Another log for the "wear ISU clothes" fire.

I'm sure you're not alone; you could probably start a mini-protest movement in your own office by getting people to wear ISU stuff.

Wear a shirt with a picture of a meteor on it, in honor of this the first "Meteor Game". If only both teams could lose.

The way I see it, even if it is "for fun" as the e-mail says, people in the work place know I am a Cyclone. They would be razzing me for wearing Hawkeye or Husker gear the next year, just in time to do this all over again. Yeah, that sounds like a lot of "fun".

Way to stick up for your morals.

Wear Michigan or Mich State gear. Rub it in.

It's funny how hard this game is being pushed by everyone. It's really not a big game, on the national level. Neither team is ranked. Neither team has a shot at a BCS game. It's just another game between 2 Big 10 teams.
