I like the comment about it coming up so quickly. They've known about this for about 2 years.

I found this funny as well. They're acting like the game was moved forward by a couple weeks without notice.

Does your company do this sort of thing when ISU plays either team? I'm assuming not, which is what I would be most upset about. We've been playing Neb for decades

No they don't, but you have to remember these are Husker fans who are delusional in regards to the importance of this game and their team. (or should I say impotence ?)
I am just gonna wear regular work clothes and most likely work through their little pep rally.

I'd go either with normal work attire or Cyclone attire. When someone asked, I'd feel free to say I'm not a Hawk or a Husker, and I'm not watching the game because I have other things to do.

Every game isn't a big game for everybody. Nothing wrong with that.

Gotta at least wear cardinal/gold work clothes.

Given the situation, I think it's entirely appropriate to show up wearing this:

I'd also find whoever owns this, and park it in your boss' space:

Cardinal & Gold. You're half of each team, and representing for right team.

Send this to them as a reply all...."We know all of our employees here at the ODC may not be regular Nebraska Husker or Iowa State Cyclone fans, but since all of our ODC employees live in Nebraska or Iowa, and this being the last year of the Nebraska Huskers vs. the Iowa State Cyclones era in Big 12 College Football, we wanted to do something to commemorate this big game. We ask that for this significant game that employees choose one of the two teams to support for fun." Is this the email I received for last year???

We will have a little kick-off to celebrate the beginning of this exciting new era in college football and would like you all to be a part of it. With it coming up so quickly we didn’t have time to plan as much as we would have liked to, but hope to add to this event next year.

It's funny how hard this game is being pushed by everyone. It's really not a big game, on the national level. Neither team is ranked. Neither team has a shot at a BCS game. It's just another game between 2 Big 10 teams.

The funniest thing is it's a game between a team ISU has beat and a team ISU would beat if they wouldn't have run to an easier league

How about this: Wear a half-and-half jersey, IU and kNU.

Before you flame, hear me out. Instead of being a right/left split, make it a front/back split. One side has Lawrence Phillip's number, the other has Abe Saperstein's.

It's a win/win. If they "get" it, they'll be PO'd. If they don't, you have confirmation (as if you needed it) that you are a genius among mouthbreathers.

Choice 1: Where cardinal and gold with no insignias and avoid any black or white completely.

Choice 2: Where a Swiss flag shirt, red background with white cross and claim neutrality.

I think you can find a cardinal and gold shirt in Ames pretty easily.

I'm not sure where you can get a Swiss flag shirt, but ebay might work. Better work quickly to get that in time, though.
