Apparently he told the officer he was trying to get back to his college in Minnesota quicker.

Wonder if he lost his license. Probably just got written up for 69 mph. They never provide the details.

With any luck we will be there by Tuesday.

Pretty sure until the guilty plea is entered, they legally can't. Thats also why you'll notice there is no license plate visable in the photo as well.

should take his license away. A crash at that speed is certain death.

Meh, if it wasn't for the poor visibility of the snow, it doesn't bother me. When your driving you know the risks you are taking.

My question is did the trooper go that fast or faster to catch him? It doesn’t show the trooper’s speed.

Good question--Last I knew they won't pursue if conditions are deemed too unsafe and you'd think this would be the same deal.

Meh, once you have the speed locked they are good. The drive can't outrun radio. Trooper could have easily just radioed ahead and had him pulled over further ahead.

Interesting how the media decides which names to publish or not publish.
Also whether an 18-year-old is described as a teenager or adult seems to vary with the focus of the article.
