I would like to see some passes off it.
ISU tried one and if Rohach hit the WR it was wide open, and I think everyone by now has seen the Auburn TD on a read option that involved a pass. While we are add it lets bring a guy in motion on a reverse and make teams think about that as well once in a while.
I agree. If Rohach doesn't overthrow Bundrage on that play, he scores on a long TD.
These are exactly the kinds of plays we should have been running all year long. When we run that read option during the year, we NEVER throw out of it. Defenses just crashed in on the RB every time and then made our QB take a beating.
That play you're talking about though, I see Baylor run all the time. OSU does to I believe? It at least keeps the defense honest on that read option. Rohach faked the handoff on the read option, started to run to the outside, and then when WV's corner came off of Bundrage to tackle Rohach, he flings it to a wide open Bundrage. But he overthrew it unfortunately. But that will keep that corner from doing that next time, and then Rohach can keep it and get some decent yardage.
Same on the OT TD pass to Coleman. We've never ran a sweep option with the QB and RB and then had our QB drop back out of it and throw it. Coleman was wide open. These defenses are just overpursuing us big time each and every week, but Mess never keeps them honest like this.
It was good to see on occasion last night. Need to see it more often IMO.
