Cy Robb - Prayers go out to you for a workable solution and speedy recovery. UIHC knows what they are doing and you will be in good hands.
Go there twice a year to see specialists for my 6 year old son (and usually wearing some type of ISU swag), which always gets some chuckles / comments, especially from the closet ISU fans that work at the hospital.
On a more serious note, I would encourage anyone to spend some time or volunteer at the Pediatric Specialty Clinic, or other area that you have a passion for at the UIHC (or any hospital for that matter) . It give you a tremendous amount of perspective and you will be overcome with emotion. Like I said, we go twice a year for my son and in some ways my son's afflictions, while significant in their own right, don't seem all that bad in the grand scheme of things.
