Broken leg/ankle (foot was not connected to my leg anymore). Plate and 10 screws. Happened the day of the 3OT, Steele Jantz game. Watched the second half and OTs from the ER at Mary Greeley. While the game was great and the weather was perfect, that was the day when being stupid was no longer fun. I haven't been the same since.

Wisdom teeth when I was in high school.

My appendix 7 years ago. It ruptured and I spent 3 days in the hospital.

Liver donor here. They removed the entire right lobe of my liver. 60 staples and ??? internal stitches. One month in the hospital because of complications. i guess my stupid pancreas didn't like it much. Couldn't eat or drink anything the entire time, fed through a picc line. Out of work for three months. Yes I would do it again.

Broken right tibia and fibula, foot at 90 degrees to the leg. I reached down and put the foot back on. Three inch screw on one side and a plate with four screws on the other side to fix it. Jumped up to deflect a pass and on coming down my leading foot hit the receiver's foot so that when my foot hit the ground it was cocked sideways. The impact with the ground broke it off. It's the type of injury that no one wants to watch the replay. The good news-the pass was incomplete.

Exploratory surgery for cancer.....wicked. They open you up, spread your insides across the room and literally scrape the cancer out. If that's not bad enough, they blow you up with chemo for six months after that. You have to look at the bright side though. It's worth the temporary pain and suffering to end up cancer free.

I started young. I stole my older sister's "big girl" bike and went for a joy-ride at the ripe old age of six. Going downhill, swinging my feet, swung one back too close to the back wheel. Caught my heel in the spokes, nearly severed my achilles tendon, stopped the bike dead and I flipped *** over teakettle over the handlebars & landed chin first on the street. Broke the left side of my lower jaw. Had to have it surgically screwed back together & my jaw wired shut. For three loooooooong months. I was the only kid in first grade that had to take baby food to school for lunch.

Wisdom teeth, Septoplasty/turbinate reduction, three hernias, ruptured disc (doc said it was the biggest he'd ever seen) and the latest was getting snipped. I wasn't under, but I'm counting that.

and I'm now wondering how I made it this far without serious injuries. I've had close calls with a bull and haymow fall.
