I used to drink too much and leave upper deckers. Never fell off one thankfully.
Buddy called me and said his nieces were sitting in his seats and some guy fell from the upper deck onto the people seated behind them. Two were stretchered out. Dumb ass wasn't. Apparently the people he fell on cushioned his fall.

Anyone see this?

Got other stories?

Guy got lucky and didn't have to see us drop like a sophomore's dress on prom night.

Meh one drunk guy (probably, hopefully it wasn't a medical emergency of some type) in the 40+ yrs of the stadium. It sucks for him but it's hardly the stadiums fault. If you raise the railings your going to interfere with more peoples views. Accidents happen.
Wonder if they would just install a glass shield behind the railing so people can still see, but provide another barrier?

I've never thought the railing at the steps was too low. But we've had seats in the first row of the balcony, and they felt uncomfortably low, especially during excited moments when your jumping up and cheering. Obviously it would meet code, but the top of rail was ~6 inches below my waist. Waist height for the 75th percentile of American males seems appropriate.

Sounds like our ranking wasn’t the only thing that dropped today.

My seat was right beside the damn OSU band. They played between EVERY play and to the last second. They also played during the introduction of the kid captain where they tell what the kid selected has been through. They almost played through the military hero of the game. I wanted this one so badly because I wanted those aholes to go home unhappy.

Did you see it happen? What was the cause? Drunken carelessness?

I didn't see it happen. I was approx. 10 people to the left and one row higher (row two). Two girls seated behind me (row 3) saw and ran to the railing to look over. When questioned, they said 30-40 year old male. It was when we nearly intercepted an OSU pass. Everyone stood up at about the same time. They said as he stood up he simply fell forward. No idea if he'd been drinking or otherwise intoxicated.

Yeah, he was in section V row 1 probably about seat 10. Nobody could really figure out what happened. Sounded like a bad leg break was the worst of it.

Not sure how or why the guy fell but he did fall and landed on 2 gals on the walk way behind the seats below. The ladies were both injured. One being carried of by others and one being taken out on a stretcher. The guy that fell appeared to have 2 leg breaks was taken out on a stretcher.

I walked by as they were loading him up. He looked pretty rough. The security was pointing in the air (this was on the concourse) and I thought no way he fell off the back and is still alive.

More angry at the world band nerd anecdotes. Seems like a problem.

Section 29 Row 13 had one of the most obnoxious visiting fans I’ve ever encountered. He routinely thought dropped ISU passes were fumbles, got annoyed with OSU’s QB when he didn’t throw past the first down marker on 1st and 2nd down, and thought the face mask against Akers was a “makeup call” for the PI against Akers that didn’t get called.

Him and his wife got in a little verbal altercation with an Iowa State fan after the second Purdy INT.

The Oklahoma State fans around us were great

I agree with you....but it is 2019 'Merica. We'll get glass walls like a hockey rink or they'll just close the upper deck. Fans need to be more professional. Hupy and Abraham are going to be all over Wintersteen.

How did I miss all this? We sit in the front of the SE corner upper deck, so we would have been able to see everything.

Hope everyone is okay and the school doesn't over react in response.
