I wished we did that for my friend's GF's (now wife's) piano. I would've gladly gave up the beer and pizza to do that.
I would BOUGHT everyone beer and pizza to do this every time asked to move one.

Here's an article on why he went undrafted....

Well that's just ****ing brilliant. He had one bad Senior Bowl practice...JFC you'd think the tape of the OU game would be a little more indicative of Allen's ability to perform in the NFL.

And any NFL scout that questions his toughness can really just **** right off.

I have a feeling building a draft board is a lot like a lot of hiring panels I have been on. When you are sifting through 300+ resumes and applications to fill 6 spots you are looking for any reason to quickly weed out some of them. I know I have thrown some out for spelling errors and typos on resumes because there were just too many good candidates. I couldn't afford to interview 85 candidates.

It really should be. One weekend my brother called me up out of the blue. He had agreed to help a friend move and completely effed up his knee. He asked me to help HIS friend move.

I'm not a jerk so I said ok. That dude's pull out couch must have had a cast iron frame and this dude was moving into a 3rd floor apartment. Worst move in I've ever been a part of and I had my kids that day and they had to entertain themselves in this guys apartment for a few hours.

I didn't get food or even a beer out of the deal. I still give my brother **** about that one.
Not a jerk, but your dumb. :) In a good way, of course. Helping somebody you don't know move is the weirdest thing I've ever heard.

I have helped a friend help one of his friends' daughters move. Not the whole move, but a couple of heavy things they the guy and his daughter couldn't get alone.

I really didn't want to do it. This was back when I was a single dad and I had my boys for the weekend and we were going to hang out and have fun all day. Moving this guys crap was not my idea of fun.

This was a favor for my dumb ass older brother and he still owes me for it. I think I'll bring it up next time he wants to give me crap about something. "You remember the time I helped move YOUR friend and his 1 ton couch into a 3rd floor apartment!"

You're a saint.

Another moving story this reminds me of. My brother, yeah the same one, is 8 years older than me. I remember moving him in and out of Towers when I was 10 through 14 years of age. Made his 10 year old brother carry his TV. He had a couch that didn't fit on the elevator and we carried it up to the 9th freakin floor. I don't think he carried one thing for me when I moved into Helser or Friley. "I have a job, wah wah!"

The drop concern is one thing, but the toughness and speed comments are suspect. Haven't looked it up, but my guess is Lazard's combine 40 time was middle of the pack for all receivers drafted.

IMO - This is the final interation of a secret plan by the Hawkeyes aligned with B12 powers Oklahoma, Texas, etc to make sure that Iowa State never gets the players it deserves 'because if you go to Iowa State, you will never get drafted... no matter how good you are 'Troy Davis'.."

Thankfully angry, negative conspiracy theorist me is rarely correct except in Politics.

The NFL helping destroying ISU football program in that they are saying to recruits, no matter how good you are at that school called ISU, we WON'T draft you. So recruits will always look elsewhere first, so screw the NFL. Hakeem Butler, Montgomery, Lima and Bailey better start playing like beasts because nothing is given at this moment if you are an ISU player.

Yeah... This is what my negative, conspiracy theorist brain does say when things like this happen to ISU.

Jacksonville's rookie mini-camp opens today. Does anyone know of a good twitter follow for Jacksonville updates?
