McDonald seems to be very quick off the ball, same position and committed.
Kid is going to be great, but in the end I disagree with them being the same position. John Waggoner will play the SDE (JD Waggoner, no relation). McDonald will be on the J. Baily position....

I thought it was Brian's Song. Though to be totally honest I haven't seen either one.

Also Old Yeller - sure it's not YOUR dog but still, he dies, right?
You need to see Brian's song. You'll be a blubbering idiot by the end of it.

Coach George Halas: Brian Piccolo died of cancer at the age of 26. He left a wife and three daughters. He also left a great many loving friends who miss and think of him often. But when they think of him, it's not how he died that they remember - but how he lived. How he did live!

I'm crying just copying and pasting that.

I remember when it was on TV as the Movie of the Week or whatever they called those made for TV movies then. I just was not a sports fan at the time. Mostly I remember everyone (the boys anyway) talking about it the next day in school, so it made a big splash.

I did see the King of Queens take-off on it and yeah, I've seen that quote too.

I didn't cry at the end of Marley and Me, just had really bad allergies.

Since this thread has become an Amtrak train wreck.............if you didn't cry at the end of "Alive" then you are not alive.

That movie only got me crying the first 20 times I saw it ... ("C'mon, Pic. I KNOW you can beat this thing." Never worked).

Now I'm crying again. OK. Not totally bawling, but my eyes are watering up.

I love Brian Piccolo. And I'd like all of you to love him too. And so tonight, when you hit your knees, please ask God to love him.

I know most will disagree with me but I think that Rudy is one of the most overrated sports movies, ever. It's not terrible. It's just not that good or that inspirational.
Son (an AVID football fan) was at UNI when the real Rudy came to give a "motivational" speech. He said it was rambling, disjointed, and self-serving. Those were the nicer things he said about it.
