The only thing that bothered me about it was that it seemed Kyven needed the shove/booing to get him going and do what he should have been able to do in the 1st period. The guy has so much talent, but unless something sparks him, he's content to eek out a win.

Similar mindset with the rest of the team. Iowa ALWAYS scores at the end of the period, we almost never do. And when it happens to us, we get in a funk (174 & 184) and can't recover. I know Jackson knows this as he mentioned it at intermission, but the thing is that it's been happening FOREVER.

Pretty much what I expected from the meet. I thought Weatherspoon would give Brroks more of a match.

Yeah, for me that beats Goettl's Goettling for the lowlight of the meet. Because I expect Weatherspoon to score us points in march so seeing him wilt like that was concerning.

No kidding. Yeah I hate everything Iowa Wrestling stands for, but I still like it. What?

Like I said, show me examples of Iowa wrestlers talking smack to the crowd after a win. Intensity on the mat? Sure. If your butt hurts from being destroyed by Iowa wrestling and you don't like our guys grinding you into the mat, sorry. But talking smack to the audience, especially after winning against a backup? Show me Iowa's history of doing that. Ramos did it and I never liked it. But show me the other guys.

I never liked it when Ramos did it, I don't like it when Brands does it, I don't like it at all. Guys going out there and putting their balls on the line deserve more respect than their opponent doing smacky crap like that. I hate it, no matter who's doing it. Let the ref raise your arm, respect your opponent, get off the mat. That's all.

I don't like it either. I think the fans here are supporting it because Iowa has been doing it for a long time without consequence.

So I'm sure you have plenty of evidence of where you've gone to Iowa boards complaining about those classless situations as well? Or do you only post how you don't like it on ISU boards?

That's exactly how I feel. I wouldn't applaud Gadson for doing that against anybody else.

But against Iowa? Go for it. Hell. Run back out and give them an encore.
