I hope adding Good-Jones back to the o-line cleans up some of those penalties and improves the run-blocking. It's unfair to put that all on one player, but I think a lot of the miscues had a lot to do with the last minute o-line adjustments.

I also hope that we see Park for a series. Had Noland been available I'm sure he would have played last night.

If I'm an Iowa fan I would be nervous about how Beathard plays this game. Our pass rush/containment was actually pretty good, but Iowa's O-line will probably allow plenty of opportunities for Beathard to escape and make a play with his feet.

This is the type of game where ISU loses handily, but a freak injury occurs and a star player for the opposition is knocked out for a few games. I really hope that isn't the case and I'm not wishing injury on any players - but as an ISU fan I've seen this exact situation happen numerous times over the years (Seth Russell & Adrian Peterson immediately come to mind and I know there are obvious others that I'm missing).

It's going to be complete domination. Besides a good running QB, Iowa is better than UNI at every position.

Horrible ISU offense and an ISU defense that get trieds and gives up points due to being on the field a lot. So a repeat of the past couple years.

Repeat .. Rinse....Repeat...Rinse....Yes a repeat of the uni game and the past three years....Looks like Clone of Criner could have a very rough (Losing) start to the season................

I expect several more threads featuring jsb's meltdown.

I am not sure why saying that it is disturbing that the coaching was god awful is meltdown.

I didn't say they would always suck. But saying that the coaches sucked last night is fact.

I do not understand the angst with this year's team. Rhoads had the B12's worst recruiting classes the last two years; Campbell had almost no time before Feb. signing to get his coaching staff in place and recruit. Rhoads left the cupboard bare. I have great faith in Coach Campbell, but he needs at least 2 years to clean up the mess he inherited.

Having the worst recruiting class in the B12 might excuse a poor performance against other B12 teams. But it does not excuse losing against FCS teams. At home. Games like these we ought to win from Day 1.

Certainly a poor start by the coaches, but way too early to call them poor coaches.

With the staff at a loss last night I would harken back to the days of Jimmy Walden and the 56-3 scores. New staff, no clue, no O line, no run game - blowout city. We might see hok 3rd string in 2nd half. This is a very badly coached team and they have no room for bad coaching with so little talent. Think I will find a quiet place to pray for a surgical team to perform cranial rectal extraction on the coaches. Does anyone else remember when Dan Hawkins left Boise and it turned out the genius was the OC? Same with Butler in Bball as Brad Stevens was the man? Did we get the right one - maybe a trade with Toledo is still an option? Hell - another wasted year and my football viewing is tainted once again.

Welcome to my ignore list. Wild overreaction to a bad debut.
