can't wait for people to hate on this, but at the moment ISU has an NIT resume.

Best win is against Miami, 2nd best win is Indiana St.?
Losses - vs. Gonzaga (not damaging), vs. Cincinnati (not horrible), @ Iowa (horrible)
Rest of games are against RPI 200+ teams, games the committee don't care about unless you lose.

The best teams in the conference are teams style wise ISU struggle against (Kansas, West Virginia, Baylor). As of now ISU has a bubble type resume but the lack of potential quality wins on the schedule is a little worrying (as of now, road games against those 3 are L for me).

Before tonight we had a real low ceiling for an NCAA seed without a great B12 record, now we really have our work cut out just to make the tournament. We have a terrible non-conf resume this year.

Here are my honest non trolling thoughts.

ISU is the better team. Iowa is young, and will have ups and downs. ISU came in over cocky, and expected to do whatever they wanted. This Iowa team doesn't remember what it feels like to blow large leads. Those guys are gone.

So maybe this will get guys like Morris and Long to take opponents seriously, rather than talk **** before games. Obviously they aren't good enough to just walk into another teams house and impose their will.
thanks for the kind words but i rather just burn the entire team in effigy and be done with them.

It's about playing TEAM ball. They are a bunch of individuals and that style of play is a recipe for losing. They played a very bad team tonight. Selfish play. Individual play. Do nothing to set each other up. Coach has his work cut out for him. At the present, this is not a tournament (even NIT) worthy team.

Tonight Iowa played like a better team. It took them to play out of their minds or just do things very different than their 3-5 start, but they were better.

ISU looked nice Monday night but are pretty much hot garbage if the other team plays hard.
Not really. Iowa has been good on offense all year. Our horrible, structurally flawed offense did not test their young, poor defense.

Might be the next Iowa State team to go to the NCAAs if we don't learn how to run a basic offensive set
add Babb to that. can we just fast forward to that season i don't want to endure the turd that will be this season.

because they didn't need to play defense. we would Chuck the ball up 5 secs in the shot clock or stand around and watch Monte drive into double teams.

At our best we can be lights out and we saw that against a top ten team in gonzaga in the second half. The Problem is that we have only played one full pretty decent game against Miami and one very good half against gonzaga. The fact that we have played 60 minutes of good basketball all season is very frightening and we just lost to the worst team right now in the big ten so I don't know how we can go into the big 12 optimistic that we can even beat Texas or k-State at this point, especially on the road.

Maybe this is the football hangover talking, but in one fell swoop I've gone from raving enthusiasm to complete and total indifference.

Thank you, Cyclones, for humiliating me once again. Thank you for taking the one thing we could brag about and shitting all over it.

I've always said, even when we're good at something, we'll find some way to attain futility. I hope we never earn a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament because I have no doubt we'd be the first #1 to lose to a #16. Looks like I don't have to worry about that anytime soon.

We are witnessing the beginning of the end of the Prohm era. Prohm hasn't played a single impact player he recruited. Yes, Wiggington is one but one every 3 years is GMac worthy. Prohm needs to get rid of the GMac assistant and Small and get serious, this isn't Murray St.

Not sure where Gunnerclone and Cyclonepride are tonight. Cincy was an underrated team that just beat us in a rock fight. Well we just got pummeled by an uptempo NIT squad by double-digits. This team doesn't get any easy two's....everything is a contested mid-range jumper. They are better defensively then last year but this is not the type of squad that can just peel off a 13-0 in two minutes. They simply are not built that way.

This should be a complete wake up call to this squad and the coaching staff. We have built something special over the course of the last five years and this team is certainly in danger of snapping the NCAA tournament streak. Who is the Big 12 are we going to play that is worse than Iowa. TCU maybe Texas. Is this squad going to beat Kansas, Baylor or West Virginia. Someone last week laughed at the 18-12 assessment....at this point I think we will be lucky to get to that point.
