As far as the money goes, I think they have said that ISU won't be considered in default if they don't play the game due to making the Big 12 Championship game. However it didn't say ISU wouldn't owe the $300K, did it? They may not, but I think that is why ISU is providing a charter flight to Incarnate Word instead of including that cost in the game guarantee. That is a cost they won't have to fork over if the game doesn't happen. Regardless, if ISU is in the Championship game who the **** cares if ISU is writing a check for $300K? JP won't care at that point.

I would not love this if it was a regular scheduling practice, but in terms of salvaging a guaranteed win after the SDSU debacle, I am happy with it.

BTW - the $300K is probably still due because IWU had to break a contract to play ISU so they incurred expenses and lost out on revenue by breaking that contract.

North Alabama is in their first year of transition from DII to FCS. They are a non-counter for FCS playoff purposes and bowl eligibility. They'll probably pick up one of the DIIs that is losing a game because of the hurricane.
