What is the average full ride given out?FYI, college baseball teams are allotted 11.7 full ride scholarships. Each team can split up those scholarships among up to 30 players as they see fit.
If you play baseball for a particular school, odds are it's not just the baseball team/facility that brought you there since you'll likely be paying for 2/3 of your costs to attend the school.
That is what they got last year... But money is defiantly not the high point gotta do what we can do.https://www.facebook.com/pages/Iowa-State-Club-Baseball/112129718869535

That is good info a kid on my team is doing a semester long project on a proposal for baseball back at Iowa State he may need stuff like that in itI'm not sure, and I don't even know where I could look that up. However, judging on my conversations with some of the NCSU baseball players, I got the impression that they pretty much divide the scholarships up evenly among the team. It might be different for some players that were drafted high, but decided to stick with college in exchange for more scholarship.
And the softball girls sure knew how to... be unaware of the men when around and be really really into one another all the time :jiggy:

Agree. While unpopular, BVD getting rid of baseball was a good move. I am glad JP did not have to be put in the position to make the same call. There is only so much money JP can collect from our boosters, and that money MUST go to programs that can generate revenue, both now and in the future. As a northern school in a southern conference, that is not baseball. Even if the fundraising were successful enough to get it going, I hope JP would not allow it. It would be like giving a $10million dollar house with a huge mortgage to someone with a $40K/year job.The main issue is our northern climate. I remember seeing something about B10 baseball schools considering a breakaway from the NCAA because colder climate schools were having a tough time competing.
Why would we bring back a sport and invest considerable money at which we cannot compete in our conference? We aren't talking about sustaining a program but re-introducing one. Makes no sense from an economic efficiency standpoint. Those dollars are better spent enhancing/improving existing sports.
Sorry you sucked in Pop Warner and rec league basketball and hate those sports because of it.The SEZ was a long ways off as recently as a year ago. Just sayin'. Obviously baseball is a long way off. Some of us would love to have a baseball program back. Theres no harm in talking about it. So thanks, buzzkillers, for always getting involved in these threads. Sorry you sucked in little league and hate baseball because of it.

See how silly that sounds? It is not about hating baseball. I am sorry your position on this issue is so weak that realism crushes your dreams, but take solace in knowing the ISU can better compete in other sports because your hardship.
All of them.LOLOLOL so please fill me in as to which programs ISU is better in as a result of not having baseball?
Don't forget that Pollard came here from Madison, where Wisky also does not offer baseball. So he thinks it's no big deal. His successor, whoever that is, might take a different view. The SEZ was a long ways off as recently as a year ago. Just sayin'. Obviously baseball is a long way off.
