I like the white helmet. Don't care much for the cardinal version.

Is the cardinal color on the “cynado”, as t-Noah calls them, the same as in the I-State in this image? They look slightly different to my eye, but it could just be the way it’s shown on screen or having white as the contrast instead of gold tricks my eyes. I like the cardinal color in the I-State here better.
With the Cynado, I'm in the conceptual stage, I would say. Exact shade of red is not that important yet. Mine on the white helmet is also not very large or detailed, pixel-wise, and even though it is hard to tell, incorporates the amestoplease 3D affect. It would look better in 2D. But again, those details are not that important at this point and easy to change later. It does have some of the darker cardinal shading though.

If ISU picks a certain logo, a graphic designer will give full attention to the exact shades of cardinal and gold for everything. They will figure that out. Logos tend to fluctuate more in color than the uniform colors.

I think @goldmember is using a darker red than our athletic cardinal. I don't want to speak for him though. What he did is perfect.

I kinda dig these

Nothing wrong with the whirlybirdCy, it was a great logo in it's day, would be better w/o any blue (like it had), and would make a great alternate logo IMO.

It definitely gets farther away from a strong identity, though. The Standard I-State logo is now a strong identity. I think the Cynado (or Orrnado could and should be a strong secondary identity.

The whirlybirdCy isn't a strong identity. We all know about it and its history. Others do not. I would love it as a 3rd or 4th alt, for sure.

But getting a 1st alt logo is the next step maybe. Not worrying about 2nd, 3rd, or 4th favorites. Of course I have no problem taliking about them and the ones that are best. Gotta throw walkingCy in there, when doing so.

I agree that the I-State logo should stay our primary classic logo and the the Cynado (aka Orrnado) would be the best secondary. Whirlybird Cy (aka bird-in-a-blender), the original with the blue, is not a good helmet logo as it's too hard to make out just what it is. The updated Punching CY version with no blue and no "Cyclone" scrip across it is much better. And, I am also a huge fan of the classic Walking Cy as well as Leaning Cy (on the "I").

I have a movement every morning... not unlike this one.

I don't hate that logo but its not great. Maybe if its around without the blue for a while. Odd that I just lived with that crap while I was in Ames but now that its mostly gone, I don't want it back.

Love the nado helmets, with the exception of the gray ones (either base or logo)

I had an idea to try and take the Punching Cy tornado and use the current Walking/Bucky Cy head and body. This was just done with MSPaint and turned out super janky. The idea was better in my head, but I still wanted to share.

I despise the Bucky Cy. Old walking Cy and leaning Cy are much, much better in my opinion.
