I’m guessing these are throwbacks to be added to the rotation along with the regular white and cardinal uniforms and the new golds. I would guess the black uniforms from 2022 are in the rotation as well as recruits are still wearing them on visits.

These are great but I was a fan of the gold Cyclones on the home whites. Only bad thing to come out of this. Not a fan of the lettering on these if this is now the only home white option. But these shorts with the Cyclones top would be perfect and a top 10 bb uni

Now are they the home whites or just alternates. Please god say permanent home whites
It was confirmed on Twitter these are the permanent home whites.

Edit: Technically what I read was "they'll be part of the regular rotation" which I read as these are our permanent white jerseys, but I guess it doesn't explicitly state that.

I agree the "Iowa State" is off to me. I'd either make it larger on the chest or put Cyclones. I know they were trying to emulate those old unis but it doesn't have to be exactly the same. Overall they look very clean.

Will be cool to see the cardinal unis, one can only assume it will have a different throwback logo on it if we're continuing the trend with each color having a different logo? Odds are it'll be just like the white unis tho.

I've heard a rumor from some people "close to the organization" from back out East that the new ownership hates "Commanders" and is going to do away with it as soon as they can.

Redwolves or Hogs or Warthogs or Redhogs are the clubhouse leaders.

The gold pants for this year was a first move in that direction (all they could do so quickly).
Woof not exactly in love with any of those names,

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I think I like our current (now previous?) jerseys better. These are solid though, and I'm always for more basketball cy!
Same here.

Social media messaging suggested these would closely mimic the 1992-95 unis from the Fred era which are amongst ISU MBB's best ever unis. Glad to see Dribbling Cy used on the new ones but they missed the mark in the design.

no they did not. Simple is better, no more awkward striping and the Prohm era is gone forever now

I don't think these are permanent home jerseys. I'm guess it will be like Mizzou last year that played in throwbacks occasionally (Mizzou this year are going full time throwbacks) Basketball media day was last week, and they still wore their old whites. I think if this was full time they would've released these jerseys before the media day instead of making them wear their old jerseys for the team photo and headshots.

It's funny you bring up your Prohm PTSD because these new throwbacks mimic JO unis from 1990-91, which were two losing seasons that JO had after turning the program around starting in 1984. They thankfully got rid of them after two seasons and went to a far better look from 92-95.

And 3 years of Otz success in the current unis should outweigh your PTSD sensitivity from the end of the Prohm era.
