I didn't like the black collar at all until my attention was drawn to the fact that Cy has a black collar. Now, I'm more tolerant.

He also doesn't have shoes. This always bugged me:

I like this one pretty well so far.

And it goes well/better with black, ie, black helmet, pant. Or even socks, say they wanted just a touch more black in there.. CyUni 2019 c10 - r r y 12 RedCol4a Redface BlkSockswCY.png

So close, and I will admit the black trim on the sleeves is less irksome than the black collar. What about a cardinal or gold trim on the sleeves, though?
If we stay w/ black collar a little gold might be nice. A little red accent in the black collar also, hard to tell but there.

I'm down to my 2 favorite combos from last year (not counting all white in bowl game) and can't decide which I like better. It is between these 2 below. Thoughts?

I liked these two as well. I guess my 2 favs would have to be the w/c/c vs KU, and the b/c/c against Baylor. I was surprised how well I liked both of these.

I'm actually surprised no one has updated the isu football wikipedia page uniform images yet....

Yes, that's due for update. I nominate t-noah for the project. :) (I'm not being facetious, he has all the templates handy).
Yeah I could probably try to update that, put an all red Home, and maybe a w/w/c Away?

I'll be kind of busy for a while, really for the next several years (chainsawing). We had 1 of the confirmed 14 Missouri tornados hit our property and area this past Tues night. Luckily just missed our house, but atleast 30 trees very, very close to our house and on our wooded property (most very large) uprooted or snapped. Others in area not so lucky.

I tried a lot of different things with the sleeves (and collar), gold stripes CyUni 2019 c10 - r r y 12 RedCol701aYbb Redface RedSocksw CY.png CyUni 2019 c10 - r r y 12 RedCol412aYd Redface RedSocksw CY.png
dark red sleeve or sh stripes c10 - r r y Col 5 12RedCol502aDRb#cc6ac1RB RedfaceRedSocksw.png c10 - r r y Col 5 12RedCol502b#cc6ac1RBdR RedfaceRedSocksw.png
lighter red stripe c10aMRbb. CyUni 2019 c10 - r r y 12 RedCol501aMRbb Redface RedSockswCY.png
I even tried a few prototype gold collars. CyUni 2019 c10 - r r y 12 YelCol522ad Redface RedSockswCY.png That trial didn't last too long, majority of collar being gold just doesn't work.

In the end I think either black sleeve or shoulder stripe combined with a black element in the collar itself works best, YMMV.

Here are 10 examples to replace the all black collar of red jersey, in cardinal crush set, which we appear to use most.
If I can come up 10 alternatives, surely they could redesign the black collar to something better also?
To follow.
