Is Aaron Rodgers done?

Jordan Love finally showed improvement this year. Not sure if that was coaxing Tom Clements back as QB coach or a natural progression and not sure if Clements stays if Rodgers quits.
Love stinks. He played garbage time in 4 games this year. If love is the Green Bay QB next year they struggle to win 3 games. Still it is time to blow it all up for Green Bay though. They still need a qb.

I think he’s done at least as a Packer. I just don’t see the Packers getting any better offensively to help him much. Adams leaving to the Raiders I think crushed Rodgers soul.

Rodgers will be with the Packers next year, they won't blow it up just yet.
They are like a projected $9 million over the cap for 2023. They can't afford to blow it up yet. They are stuck with each other for now.

So they both choose to suck again next year because of the cap? The Vikings and Lions are set up to be about the only contenders for the North next season.

I somewhat agree, but the Vikings are a few calls/plays away from .500. The Lions are the Lions until proven otherwise. The Bears have a huge amount of cap space and if they spend it wisely with the QB and RB's that they have could be in position to contend.

Not much either of them can do about it. Rodgers contract was destined to be an albatross when it was signed. Him falling off a cliff is making it hurt all the more.

Rodgers is a 99 MM hit if they do it now. He’s coming back.
Like someone said earlier, doesn’t this contract give Rodgers basically all control on what he wants to do? If he wants a trade he can choose?

Possibly, but someone has to agree to the trade. And that’s going to be tough to find. It’s gotta be a team with the cap space in “win now” mode willing to rebuild after that (or have a young QB in waiting).

His contract extension makes him really hard to trade so he's either going to have to gut it out in GB or retire at this point if he wants to keep playing. Even if he retires GB is going to take on a massive dead cap space hit and any team that trades for him is going to take on a big cap hit too.
Would hate to see it....

When was the last time the Bears did anything wisely?

This upcoming free agency season is Lazard's opportunity for a payday. His first big boy contract. He's not going to command giant numbers, but he'll have plenty of options and when all is said and done, he'll get a good amount of guaranteed money. Super happy for him.

The 30 yard wrist snap to Doubs tells me he still has "it". There isn't anyone else that can make that throw. That rope was too hot for Doubs at 30 yards.

A way out in left field prediction.............gets traded to the 49ers for Purdy

Can't see that happening. The 49ers business model is to not overpay for the QB position. Apply their cap space to the rest of the roster. It works when they can get at least adequate play from QB's on their rookie contract. Purdy is a grand slam for them - superior play and low level salary.
