I think you guys worry too much. I think KU will be mailing it in by that game. I would not be surprised to see them hammered next week by whoever they play. Lossing in the last second to Texas had to take a lot of the fight out of them. I am also thinking that Tx is very beatable this year, which I didn't think a few weeks ago.

It is Senior day for them I believe. They will not be mailing it in. If anything, they'll be more competitive fighting to give their Seniors something to remember instead of an O-fer streak.

Don't like how this game sets up at all.

Colorado Week 9 Box Score (2010):

Colorado Buffaloes vs. Kansas Jayhawks - Recap - November 06, 2010 - ESPN

Colorado Week 10 Box Score (2010):

Iowa State Cyclones vs. Colorado Buffaloes - Box Score - November 13, 2010 - ESPN

Anything can happen. I can assure you they won't be mailing it in. It just doesn't happen in the Big XII.

How about last year.....at home? We sure didn't smack Kansas down then. I'll be very pleased to walk from the stadium in Lawrence with a W. We should win....but it certainly won't be an easy game.

Or they won't mail it in and will be hungry for more. Our 2007 squad didn't mail it in when they had close losses to Oklahoma and Missouri towards the end of the year. I actually think that Kansas has a strong chance to win next week against Baylor and they certainly have a chance at a couple more before the season ends.

Hell Yeah. We can win any game and we can lose any game if we don't bring our A game.

There may be more ISU fans than KU fans in Memorial Stadium. KU may have to use the silent count like NW last weekend.

Hoping for the best in every game and not counting any of them as sure wins. However, if we lose to Kansas, then we don't really deserve to go to a bowl game.

I'm not overconfident about it, as in "minimum bowl eligibility is a cinch, because we have a sure win vs. KU."

If ISU is 5-5 entering that game, I might worry.

Iowa State should have as good a shot to beat Texas as Kansas.

I think Kansas is going to beat Baylor next week, for what that's worth.

When I heard about Texas winning from behind at the very end of the game I had to ask myself whether I should be more confident againt Texas or more worried about Kansas. I decided the best answer was, "both".

I think it will be a tough game. Their D is decent. Sims is a great RB and he gave us fits last year. Beshears is a tough WR to pin down. I'm pretty far from confident.

Yes, if for no other reason than that I still have bad memories of 2005 down there, still one of the most painful sports moments I've ever had as a fan. It seems that for whatever reason we just don't play well down there.

If it comes down to a field goal attempt or a crucial extra point I won't be able to watch. I think at some point our inconsistent kicking game will cost us.

After seeing the Texas/KU score part of me worries, but part of me knows ISU can stuff the run on D much better than this year's Texas team. It'll be just like most of our games, defense will look great and offense has to score at least a little while protecting the ball or we lose like TTech and OSU.

Simply if we can't beat KU - we don't deserve to play in a bowl game. It's still a big 12 conf game, but I hope that week Rhoads stresses the importance of bucking the trend Iowa State has had recently of playing down to their level. It was the huge crutch in the McCarney era too where we would play up to or down to the level of our opponents.

I know OU is the next game and that KU isn't for another 3 weeks, but the KU game scares me. Besides KSU and OU, they have played everyone really tough and it's possible that we'll need that game for win #6.

100% worried, these types of games have not gone well in the past, and i expect this game to be no different. However, need to worry about OU first.
