Really wanted to go to the game Sunday. But with tip-off being at 5:10 and tickets being $250+… Think we will just had home in the morning and watch it from home.

Exactly. The tickets are sold. It's not like we're racing to the box office. It will be extremely pro-Wisconsin, and they will be loud. We will have a presence, and we know we'll be loud, but nothing like what they will have.

As someone that went to the game last night… it won’t even be close. I was actually disappointed with our turnout. I expected to see more ISU fans, but it was like 70% wisc, 25% ISU, 5% Colgate.

I've debated going tomorrow but lot of $$$ and would likely be taking a 3.5 yr old with me

Tip time is the biggest thing for me. If the game started on time, we still wouldn’t get home until after midnight. Wife would not be ok with that plus the cost.

Think I’ve decided to keep an eye on ticket prices and then will make a game time decision if I see something “reasonable.” Just checked again and saw a few cheaper tickets then this morning, so maybe…

It'd be late for us but not quite that bad. Bigger obstacle would be $ and going solo because not taking a baby and don't have a babysitter.

Agree.

The way tickets were sold vs. session times announcement couldn't have helped.

I think distance helped for WI fans to be more flexible and swoop in on both sessions to sell whichever one Bucky didn't play in.

Man that was a risky thing to do though… session one on Saturday was not very full I don’t think. Didn’t look like many Purdue fans made the trip, but hard to tell without being inside for that game.

Main thing we need to worry about is angry Wisconsin fans throwing beer cans on the court

Colgates three point shooting made me feel like they would either dominate us or hit a crushing game winning 3
Despite their ability to shoot the three, that last 8 mins Colgate was completely inept. Wisconsin is erratic, but ultimately like a ton of higher seeds do, after dicking around they locked in and put Colgate away.

Personally, I would rather play Wisconsin. Davis is a really, really good player. But, I have faith that Kalscheur can make things difficult on him. ISU gives up a lot of open 3's just due to helping and trapping, so I really wouldn't like our odds as much vs Colgate. I do think that we have the athletic advantage at most positions vs WI. They're going to post up their bigs and a key will be keeping Conditt and Jones out of foul trouble. That said, if we have to go small with Kunz at the 5, we should get some open shots and lanes to the rim by bringing their bigs out. To me, it would be a no-brainer preference of playing Wisconsin if it weren't for home court advantage. That evens it out some.

The one other thing...if we lose or even get blown out by Wisconsin, oh well. It's just gravy at this point.
LOL no. ISU would’ve completely overwhelmed Colgate with ball pressure and passing lane pressure. They would not get open looks. The athletic advantage would’ve been off the charts. Once Wisconsin woke up and started playing defense Colgate couldn’t do anything at all. Now consider ISU is much better on D and more athletic as a whole.
Now throw in a huge crowd advantage that really sways terrible officials. I still think ISU matches up well vs Wisconsin, but a locked in ISU would completely smother a team as unathletic as Colgate.
