I wasn't one of those people but nice assumption.

I dont think I typed you name there. My point is no matter what you do it isnt going to make everyone happy and there will always be someone who wants something different and be those that ***** about anything that is done.

Line play and QB, and WR play were all bad in the Iowa game. The system does not throw the ball 15 feet over receivers head, or drop pass, or let the other teams players come through untouched. Iowa is not a team that you can make any mistakes against, and then you need to get some lucky bounces. None of that happened last week. The system is not the problem, the players are just not good enough to execute the offense against a very good defense. If ISU ran the pro set the same problems would show up.

Until we match Iowa in the trenches, it doesn't matter what offense we run.

This. ISU fans just wanna kill Arnaud, but if any of you attended the game you could see the beating he was taking. He took some absolute kill shots and I cant blame him for not setting his feet and throwing. I almost felt bad for him. Almost.....

Northwestern seems to have better players at the skill positions. ISU may have some good athletes at WR, but they're definitely not better football players than guys like Whitver or Danielsen.

Northwestern has had some athletic QBs as of late. Persa, Kustok and Kafka are all athletic guys who can run and throw along with making intelligent decisions with the ball. Northwestern is a bit quicker up front on the OL as well.

So why did we not throw more swing passes to our 3-5 receivers if we could not complete them fifteen yards downfield anmd could not run out of a papersack?

Why hit your head against the wall?

Even the ARob shovel pass looked better than zipping the ball four feet over the receiver's head seven times, six times at his ankles, four times behind him. If we cannot throw more accurately, we are screwed.

And yes, if you rewatch the NIU game, the receivers had to come back and make some great catches of errant throws with Money, Colin, and Darius. The only smooth connection on passing appear to be ARob. Do we not know how the routes will be run at this late juncture? Even the defenders were finding it hard for a time to intercept.
