Well, I think that is what won them the game. They couldn't run the ball at all until Tucker went out. Yeah, it was the big plays that killed us, but the consistent run game in the 2nd half ground out the clock and finished us off.

It really is crazy how valuable a good DT is....

A good DT is very valuable. Brandon Jensen, Rodney Coe were good. I know it was only 1.5 games but I would put Tucker on the short list of best DT's we have had the last 16-17 yrs. I put him right there with James Reed, Ryan Harklau, Jordan Carstens, Brent Curvey, Nick Leaders and Tuba Rubin. Clearly Tucker is more in the mold of Reed and Curvey but he is impressive.

Hopefully this isn't serious, but if it is a high ankle sprain it could nag for a while. That makes me angrier because the Big 12 is down this yr outside of BU, TCU and OU

I know that came out of left field but it was in my head. I agree that when Tucker went down mam talk about adversity. He was causing all kinds of havoc. Hope to God he can go vs Toledo

Agree. If our offense can get its act together there are plenty of winnable games

Three words that I hope not to hear in the next 24 hours - high ankle sprain. This messes up the stability of the leg bones and requires 6 weeks or more of non-weight bearing recovery. A lower ankle sprain should heal in 4-6 weeks and guys can play through some of the pain. Trying to play through a high ankle sprain is a recipe for disaster and can lead to long term or permanent reduced mobility.

That's what killed us. Granted, he caused the fumble, but he was just getting burned in every single play by Vandeberg.

Yep. I noticed that QF wasn't playing and I'm not sure if Harvey or J Jones got dinged but Knott played a ton in 2nd half.

Wait, what? Rodney Coe was below average at best.

Tucker is a good player but someone said Iowa couldn't run with him in there. Not true. They were running the ball well prior to him going out.

Not really. Losing Tucker and Q Floyd killed our D. And Coe was Avg at best. Tucker is a level above Coe or two.

That really hurt. He was wearing a splint or cast with crutches in the second half so I expect terrible news. We just can't have good things.
