This reminds of time I just started a new job at a small office. I was usually the first one in the office and only about 2-3 people regularly came in. I came in normal and went to the break room and EVERY cabinet door and drawer was wide open. I love the move Poltergeist so I IMMEDIATELY turned around and walked out.
Nearly packed up and left the office.
But thought about it and talked myself into thinking a coworker was playing a trick. He came in about 10-15 mins later and I said "So what are you doing 'Steve'" and he immediately started to laugh. That freaked me out though, I was ready to leave.

Our old house had to have been haunted. We would randomly hear our son talking when he was in his room (only child born at the time). Sometimes we would walk in and he would be asleep, others he would be sitting up like he was chatting with a friend. We would ask him who he was talking to and he would say his friend. This went on until we moved to our new house when he was 5. Never had any situations similar to that in the new house. He still remembers his "friend that lived in the old house."

Not a haunted house thing but very strange and happened recently. I had a 15k road race and looking to hit a big PB as I was running, I like to talk with my dad (passed away late last year). I used the phrase "be with me dad" many times during the race. A week later or so, I had a dream that woke me up. My dad was standing next to me, put a hand on my shoulder and said, "I am with you." When I woke up, I had the feeling someone had touched my shoulder. That one I'll chalk up to the power of the mind but the former, I cannot explain.
