Is your trust in CMC lost to fix this offense in 2023 and beyond?

That's just awesome! You are hoping for several close losses just because you want to annoy someone who annoys you with posting on Cyclonefanatic.
Unless of course you believe the key to success is continuing to do the same thing? You must be counting on hiring that run from shotgun analyst who will double as assistant special teams analyst.
I just don’t understand where the improvements will come from. We lose our best offensive weapon and we haven’t seen improvement in any person or group that gives you hope for next year. Even in CMC’s first year, we could score points and ran for over 2000 yards without a dominant running back. The running game and 19 turnovers has been disastrous, plus bad ST’s play. You have to think with NIL we could lose some defensive players and could take a step back. If this occurs, it could get ugly next year. I hope this year is the outlier of “offensive “ offense, but I don’t know.
I think our receiving corps including TEs is bad. That is the difference that I see this year versus last year.
CMC needs to get a new OL coach, or make Manning coach the OL and get a new OC. Everything starts and ends with the OL.
Trust not lost....you know despite the "coach speak" we see in pressers, this HAS to be eating away at CMC (losing in the margins, etc) and he's too darn competitive to not figure it out.
Maybe so but what if that means you have to beat your self? That's not something everyone can do.

Obviously I am uninformed to a lot of the goings on of everything but why would we not move Tight Ends with the WRs and then get a ST Coach? Having a dedicated TE coach seems weird. I hope the Matt at least makes a couple changes amongst this group.

I don't think Hannika is poor. He's actually surprised me and has 3 td's this year. Tyler Moore can be a player and looks the part.
WR is actually the bigger concern for me. We need new guys to really step up next year like Jason Essex and Greg Gaines. Noel to me is a disappointment and would like to see him make a huge jump. Time to get a transfer WR.

This year absolutely sucks and it's an incredibly frustrating team to watch.
But I have a real problem with the revisionist history regarding the Purdy/Kempt years. To say things like "the league figured out the offense" or that they weren't really good offenses, especially considering our pace of play, is absolutely false.

Yes. Campbell is one of the best coaches in the country. Saban is pushing 70. Alabama. On a different level than Iowa State. For decades. Saban has a more talented roster than any team they play except maybe Georgia. Brice Young has bailed them out how many times?
Why not allow Campbell to at least enter the window when changes will be made? Plenty of time to lob your criticisms later.
In Campbell's first year, in conference play, ISU's offense was #6 with over 29 ppg, and the defense was #6 at 33 ppg. The conference defenses weren't as good then as they are now, but still 29 ppg is not shabby for a true rebuilding year.
To me, this is just further confirmation of what a number of people have said here...there has been a failure in player development and implementation of fundamentals across the offense over the past several seasons. This was masked by the skill and athleticism of Montgomery, Hall, and Purdy. And, possibly recruiting on the offense side has not been as good as it needs to be.
When a team fields the best defense in the conference and the worst offense in the conference (by over a TD/game), it just seems obvious that something is badly wrong with how the offense side is being managed. The circumstances that lead to that have likely been festering for awhile.
The off season will reveal what is going on internally. Transferring has been a part of D-1 BB since Hoiberg showed how to do it and now it has become the norm in FB. Some will leave for NIL $$, some will leave because they know better players in their position group will take the PT and some will leave because the staff will have a closed door session with them. CMC and JP will also have a closed door session and JP will evaluate the season, going forward and the financial implicatons of another similar season. CMC will have a plan to present which will include coaching changes just like any other business leader who has a down year and has an evaluation with the CEO. It is a business you know.
