That's just awesome! You are hoping for several close losses just because you want to annoy someone who annoys you with posting on Cyclonefanatic.I hope we make no changes so we can see if @joefrog can complain for an entire calendar year straight.
I think our receiving corps including TEs is bad. That is the difference that I see this year versus last year.I’m feeling pretty discouraged about the direction things are heading. I don’t see a willingness to change. This is a common symptom of coaches who eventually lose their jobs. (Not saying Campbell will here anytime soon, but it’s similar)
It’s reminding me a lot of Matt Nagy in Chicago. He flourished early on in his tenure. But he refused to change when opposing teams caught on to some more predictable tendencies. It was “his way or the highway” and the Bears floundered thanks to it.
I don’t get the impression Campbell is willing to change how he runs things. I really don’t. This is what the greatest coaches like Saban and Gundy always recognize. It just feels like I’m bracing for the exact same staff and exact same boneheaded offensive schemes to return next year. It’s going to be painful to watch if this is what continues.
Maybe so but what if that means you have to beat your self? That's not something everyone can do.Trust not lost....you know despite the "coach speak" we see in pressers, this HAS to be eating away at CMC (losing in the margins, etc) and he's too darn competitive to not figure it out.

Unless of course you believe the key to success is continuing to do the same thing? You must be counting on hiring that run from shotgun analyst who will double as assistant special teams analyst.
I don't think Hannika is poor. He's actually surprised me and has 3 td's this year. Tyler Moore can be a player and looks the part.I think our receiving corps including TEs is bad. That is the difference that I see this year versus last year.
I was something of an expert in that category in my teenage years.Maybe so but what if that means you have to beat your self? That's not something everyone can do.
When has Campbell said anything other than "coach speak" during the season. He's not alone in this practice among coaches. Or even in the minority. Some of the best coaches are renowned for their "coach speak".
I think the closeness of our games is important. It means Cyclone football isn't broken, we just need to fix a couple wobbly wheels. And I think Campbell can get the job done.
The best in your lifetime!? Goodness we really haven’t had many great offenses have we.
Sure feels like the “success” our offense has had is directly due to the talent we’ve had at RB, TE, WR, and QB, with at least 1 of each currently on NFL rosters for the first time ever.
I'm not being snarky but do you think CMC is one of the "best coaches in the country" and should be compared to them in this area? Kinda feels to me like Saban and the others have earned the right to use coach speak because they produce consistent results. Iowa State...not so much. Just a thought.![]()
In Campbell's first year, in conference play, ISU's offense was #6 with over 29 ppg, and the defense was #6 at 33 ppg. The conference defenses weren't as good then as they are now, but still 29 ppg is not shabby for a true rebuilding year.I just don’t understand where the improvements will come from. We lose our best offensive weapon and we haven’t seen improvement in any person or group that gives you hope for next year. Even in CMC’s first year, we could score points and ran for over 2000 yards without a dominant running back. The running game and 19 turnovers has been disastrous, plus bad ST’s play. You have to think with NIL we could lose some defensive players and could take a step back. If this occurs, it could get ugly next year. I hope this year is the outlier of “offensive “ offense, but I don’t know.
Yes. Campbell is one of the best coaches in the country no he's not. Saban is pushing 70 this is irrelevant. Alabama ok?. On a different level than Iowa State. For decades. Saban has a more talented roster than any team they play except maybe Georgia this has nothing to do with what I stated. Brice Bryce Young has bailed them out how many times?
Why not allow Campbell to at least enter the window when changes will be made? Plenty of time to lob your criticisms later.I removed this because it had zero to do with the comment I made.
