We should be clear about one thing - the way they count attendance has clearly changed in the last ten years. I am sure all schools use the same/similar formula, but it is NOT indicative of actual attendance like it was 8-10 years ago.

For example - they now include all season tickets sold as attendance for every game, regardless of whether those people actually attend the game. I don't think there was a single game this year that filled the parquet - and there was rarely more than a few hundred in the balcony. Even the 'Little Clone Club' is rarely over half full.

Don't get me wrong, Hilton is clearly one of the top environments for WBB, and comparatively we look very good. But actual bodies in seats are several thousand less than the Angie Welle - Tracy Gahan days.

we finished #11 in an arbitrary poll. But being number 11

What I think is the great tragedy, is that Fennelly has never won Big 12 coach of the year. He was runner up national coach of the year, but has never even been Big12 coach of the year.

This I can agree with. The number 11 seems a little high to me. Yes, they made it to the final 8, but they also lost to some teams they had no reason to. As far as I am concerned BF has been the best coach in the Big 12 for the last 10 years. Unfortunately, he has had middle of the pack talent most years.
