Look at allegiant as well! flies directly into Mesa and usually cheaper. No frills whatsoever. Pack light.

Yeah just check there. Looks like there is no Tuesday return flight so have to comeback on Wednesday but that's not too big of a deal. Not many seats left on the flights either. They also have a Saturday departure to Mesa if you can't get away on Friday that would still work IF the ASU game is a late afternoon/night game.

Probably so they can camp out for a week and not miss class, they should add that game to there student ticket.

Yeah just check there. Looks like there is no Tuesday return flight so have to comeback on Wednesday but that's not too big of a deal. Not many seats left on the flights either. They also have a Saturday departure to Mesa that would still work IF the ASU game is a night game if you can't get away of Friday.

Yeah, luckily for me, i live 10 miles away from the Mesa airport, so no worries for me. They usually add more flights during the winter on Allegiant, keep checking!

If people can swing it, usually a Wednesday, Friday, Monday flights, sometimes they will add in a Tuesday flight.

The university decided to add a winter term three years ago between the end of the fall semester and the start of the spring semester, extending students' winter break. It appears future spring semesters will start after MLK day, so I don't see this issue going away.

There's also the calendar rollover that pushed everything back a week this year.

They have a winter session now. Goes until 1/17, according to the schedule of classes.
