Played around with a little more 'hip' alternate red jersey, one w/ yellow shoulder,

You've all seen this image, I bet. Not my design, but bringing it back up. This is the only image that should be put in front of Pollard and Campbell.

It has all the fundamentals to riff on with professional apparel designers:
-True red-hue gold (looks like they are already hinting at that with the all-whites this year)
-Streamlined logo (I-State cardinal stencil)
-Subtle nods to the past, modernized for the future (twister tornado, Trice stripes)
-Stripes minimal and under control (no throwing blocky color stripes on stripes on stripes like Ol'Miss!)
-No USC copy

You can throw in neutrals in blocks (a 1-1 swap of Cardinal or gold with a white, gray, maybe charcoal). These are your base uniforms. Then...let Nike go all Pro-Combat design on any alts after you have the base expectation decided and standard colors set.

I know they will not consider random pics of other designs or ideas, so please be specific to this design concept here only, if you like it. They are not soliciting our input, and we have kind of run the spectrum on many different uniform designs, ideas, logos, in the past, and they will not want a re-hash of all that.

I have always liked the Trice stripes. I do also like white accent to any future design, as long as it is done well. You got me thinking...how about this? Tri-color modified Trice (a bit of a stretch, but I like it) stripe,

Yes, pants stripe, kind of a tri-color Trice stripe. The shoulder stripe, hummm. Wow, yes!

This is exactly the reason I opened this thread! Great suggestion, I went with it. What do you think? I'll work up some full illustrations soon. Thanks for filling out that idea!

Here we go, the following illustrations will probably be my favorites, YMMV. They include the refined tri-color Trice-striped shoulder and pant. I also eased the top edges of the pant stripe 'chevron' tip, to match the shoulder stripes.

Thanks to all, so far, for your input, keep it coming. I have yet to post any of these pics on this thread to the AD, or CMC.
