Truly a stunning level of stupidity. Surprised he was able to grasp the playbook well enough to see the field.
F### Deckers.Was that wrong?
In all seriousness, Dekkers should had known better. And this should be a learning experience for all college athletes. You just can’t gamble on your sport, let alone involving your own team. Doesn’t matter if you are riding the bench or playing, you just can’t bet involving your own team.
Luckily the QB room has good depth. Next man up. Good luck, Dekkers.
Can someone PLEASE at least tell me no MBB players are involved? I need something positive.... anything!
And I need something to look forward to as well.
I would bet that bets in and around the practice bubble and jack Trice on non game days probably get a looksie.FYI - the books have compliance software that audits bet behavior for anomalies. I’m sure it also flags names and likely relatives for oddities.
Why did you say I was wrong that the coaches knew about Dekkers betting on ISU? Jeremy said ISU had an idea he bet on ISU. I never said football.DCI doesn't start these. There was something/ someone who requested it.
Are you sure he was able to?Truly a stunning level of stupidity. Surprised he was able to grasp the playbook well enough to see the field.
How do you know that? The coaches knew Dekkers bet on ISU last spring.
Worse yet, his parents were in on it too!So underage too on top of it... wasn't even thinking about that. Ouch... this just keeps getting worse.
Sorry for the confusion, but this didn’t break until this spring. They had 0 idea this was going on. No one is more pissed off than Campbel.
Read Jeremy’s post. It says ISU had an understanding he bet on ISU.How do you know that?
Thanks!
This is why I'm going to make this prediction right now....
None of the football players involved in this gambling thing in ANY way will ever play another down for ISU football.
Campbell has to be pissed beyond belief. And at Big 12 Media Days... whenever he was asked a question about Dekkers, or anyone or anything else related to this gambling thing, all Matt said was one word... "team". And he was always very stern when saying it... like he meant business.
I think Matt feels like all this goes directly against all his preaching about "team", and will not have any of them playing this season. Just my thoughts.
I'm guessing this gets plead down and most of the facts are never known. This will be an interesting thread when it’s publicly confirmed that Dekkers bet against ISU football.
