Was that wrong?

In all seriousness, Dekkers should had known better. And this should be a learning experience for all college athletes. You just can’t gamble on your sport, let alone involving your own team. Doesn’t matter if you are riding the bench or playing, you just can’t bet involving your own team.

Luckily the QB room has good depth. Next man up. Good luck, Dekkers.
F### Deckers.

Can someone PLEASE at least tell me no MBB players are involved? I need something positive.... anything!

And I need something to look forward to as well.

I don’t know one way or the other, but I don’t think anyone should make that promise given that this is much larger than we were all initially led to believe…

FYI - the books have compliance software that audits bet behavior for anomalies. I’m sure it also flags names and likely relatives for oddities.
I would bet that bets in and around the practice bubble and jack Trice on non game days probably get a looksie.

So underage too on top of it... wasn't even thinking about that. Ouch... this just keeps getting worse.
Worse yet, his parents were in on it too!

Poor judgment must be genetic…….

SMH

My old Chief had a saying (it became a self fulfilling prophecy when he was later busted out of the Navy for trying to teach one of his junior sailors a “lesson” and take money out of his bank account using the young sailor’s ATM card - which he found in the barracks).

“The stupid shall be punished.”

Sorry for the confusion, but this didn’t break until this spring. They had 0 idea this was going on. No one is more pissed off than Campbel.

Thanks!

This is why I'm going to make this prediction right now....

None of the football players involved in this gambling thing in ANY way will ever play another down for ISU football.

Campbell has to be pissed beyond belief. And at Big 12 Media Days... whenever he was asked a question about Dekkers, or anyone or anything else related to this gambling thing, all Matt said was one word... "team". And he was always very stern when saying it... like he meant business.

I think Matt feels like all this goes directly against all his preaching about "team", and will not have any of them playing this season. Just my thoughts.

Interesting. One of the best days of my life was spending the day at KSU with my son and then watching the late iSU KU game when Dekkers relieved Purdy and we beat the hell out of KU

Ohhh.... and I HOPE this is exactly what he does. Good riddance to them all. You can't be a member of a true "team" and do things like this to compromise said team at the same time. You cannot be trusted anymore by any coaches or teammates IMO.

Plus, it will lessen the stain on ISU quite a bit IMO. Just show you were shocked to find out about it... and got rid of it.

I don’t remember, was Dekkers considered to be one of the team leaders?
