Our issue boils down to the following:
-o-line under MC has been bad and that is putting it nicely(maybe 1 season where it was above average) Hard to gauge what we have on offense when we can't run the ball
-lack of developing players on the offensive side of the ball(we have had a lot of talent, but how much of that was natural vs development)
-Too much youth every year and need to get old. You got to figure out a way to get transfers to offset some of the youth
-we lack discipline(mostly on offense and special teams) How many false starts have had in MC tenure, missed fg's, and countless other ST blunders

to the point we need to NIL Purchase some offensive linemen. then not worry as much on the rest offensively. a good offensive line makes a 2-3 star player look great. I am not sure Walter Payton could have ran for 50 yards against Ohio yesterday.

the academic standards have dropped at isu... how they haven't been able to find any dogs for the line is wild. these kids dont even have to be able to read anymore.

isu is a community college

Okay but until then play to their strengths. Which happens to be pass protection. There is zero reason to try and ram, cram and jam. You weren't playing against the "Steel Curtain" yesterday and they made ISU look silly.

Problem is......this has been a point of contention CMC's entire tenure........weak OL play. So I would contend you would have to give every penny to few OL to make things better. And then...........maybe.

Defense has over pursued or missed assignments that lead to big gains at bad times.

There's some other things that fall under the 'discipline' column but aren't taking place during the plays that imo does have a way of connecting to what happens on the field.

My high level thoughts are not just about yesterday, but MC tenure.

Concerning yesterday, that defensive performance yesterday was pretty bad for JH defense. We just happen to be playing a bad offensive team so we didn’t look so bad. Secondary and linebackers really struggled.

My take on the pursuit and leakiness has been an ongoing theme over many years.

But they rank high in yardage and points given up so the deficiencies get ignored.

I have to wonder if this/these discussions would even be taking place, if Campbell had recruited even average college football field goal kickers. It's amazing to me how awful ISU's have been the past few years.

Always funny to think about if Tom Brady sends a residual check every year to Adam Vinatierri. It freaking matters.

We still have time to turn things around. Absolutely must win the upcoming game against Okie State. We're 0-8 in our last 8 one-score games. The sooner we get that albatross off our backs, the better.

The odds of losing a coin flip 8 times in a row is 256:1. At some point, the breaks will start going our way. Coaches and players need to start wanting it more as well.

OSU will likely still be playing harder for Gundy than Campbell.

Some folks seem to forget going 2-10 and losing 70-7 to Baylor on an annual basis, and being excited when an ISU commit and a single other P5 offer on his list
