. I don't know why everyone thinks that conference is so equal.

Exactly. For the 3 of the last 5 years, tOSU has won the FB conference title outright, and for the other 2 years, tOSU was tied for the conference title (record wise) with Penn State.

Typical ISU fan, how would we not improve? 7 wins under a first year head coach, with players that did not fit his systems (won 5 in two years), did not have the facilities that he will have in a few years, also with NU gone we now open up more recruiting in Texas. I question if people like you have even played football. I think Pollard made the calls, this is the most money ISU could earn right now. Dont you think Pollard will do whats best for ISU?

My bad. You're right! If we improved by 5 wins over the last year, then obviously this upcoming year we're going to win at least 12 games!!!!!!

You are just the kind of listener KXNO loves! Congrats . . you are on their team.

My bad. I should really listen to annonymous internet poster more to understand how I should really feel and act and spend my dollars. What the hell was I thinking?

If you did, you would be closer to the pulse of real ISU fans . . not Deuce, Joan, or Giggles. But hey, you are on their team. Congrats.

Like that is relevant.
I've played Risk, I'm not quite ready for world domination. Close, but not quite.

Mr. Madclone1, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul

Re: Deace

Deace is saying this morning that Iowa State is the only remaining Big 12 school to come out a loser on the latest deal.

It's amazing how he's turned an extra $7-$10 million dollars/year ifor ISU nto a bad thing. Yes, it's true that the increase is even more for UT and OU, but we now have a situation where Paul Rhoads will have the financial backing to compete on a much more level playing field with the coach across the field. ISU's football stadium will now look like a major college stadium and Rhoads will be able to continue recruiting from Texas. I'm confident that given this financial windfall, Rhoads will have the amunition to significantly improve ISU's relative standing in Big 12 football.

I was expecting to turn on the radio this morning and hear Deace concede how he really blew another prediction when he said 24 hours ago that the Big 12 was still going to implode. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

In all reality.... Deace is correct. Our schedule from year to year just got incredibly harder facing Texas, OU, Okie State, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech every season rather then shifting some off and some on every 2 years. His point was that while our revenue was increased potentially by 10 million per year that the schools ahead of us also received and increase and a larger one at that. While we gained the 10 million for our budget we ended up losing ground overall when comparing budgets. Thus the deck is stacked even more in favor now for the schools who already had a big advantage over us. He does make a good point even though I don't necessarily agree with him.

I'll start out by saying I'm happy that ISU has a conference and was able to keep the Big 12 together but I have to be honest, this was not a good deal on the competition side of things for ISU, I hope I'm wrong but I just don't see this ending well. Let's also be honest, Texas isn't done pulling power plays in this conference and hopefully they don't hold the other 9 members hostage again (I'm not banking on that)

Yeah, but he's not a "real" fan. So his opinion is worthless.

Kind of like how NU will throw a wrench in Iowa's BCS bowl plans in the future?

Yep.

The deck will always be stacked against us.

Unless we move down to CUSA or like conference.

I will take my chances with the powers hoping to get a shot in here and there and reap the financial benefits.

How many times did he say "dude" today? If the show wasn't on at 6am it would make a wicked drinking game.
