Just for the record, I feel like we have a chance in this game. NU can be ran against, we can run the ball against them and as long as we can run the ball effectively we have a chance against anyone. NU has had turnover trouble, which will also work in ISU's favor. If ISU is playing at our best and NU is still having injury problems, I think we could see this game be a lot closer than many think.
Something else I actually heard a husker fan point out is that defensively, NU doesn't like to give up the BIG play and wants to force teams into driving the whole field and if worse comes to worst, NU likes to shut teams down in the red zone. Offensively this is to ISU's advantage. ISU likes to dink and dunk down the field and when it comes to the red zone, we are one of the top in the nation. NU's game plan is to put ISU into 3rd and long, but if ISU can run the ball, that won't happen very often.
The key is if ISU can shut down NU. Their passing game isn't going to torch us, we have to stop the run. We have done better against the run the past two weeks, holding both opponents under season average, but we have also faced teams that don't like to run (or can't).
I say it's a close game in the twenties and hopefully NU makes just enough mistakes to give us the edge, otherwise I don't see this one ending as a W. NU 28, ISU 24
