Looked like the Drake player just rammed his shoulder in Gray... I didn't appear that Gray moved into him when he shot. Bad call.

GMac has to be going nuts watching all the dumb turnovers and mental errors.

Wow... big shot by Drake. Our D has not been impressive. Too many open shooters.

McIntosh seems to demand more control on the offensive end when he's at PG. He sets up, runs through the motions and we get in position...that's two straight decent possesions for us (McIntosh dribble jumper and a Jiri hoop n' harm)

We just gave up 40 points to Drake in the first half. We play OSU soon, it could get ugly.

Haven't seen Cory Johnson at all...what's up?

Cory's not that good on D, but he has a creative offensive game, which would be nice to see right now as we have little to no inside game. Need to make Drake respect the inside to allow the outside game to open up.

Hoping to see GMac make changes during the half.

Any expectation on what will change for the second half?

I'm amazed at our problems inbounding the ball. Cut to the ball and you can get it just about every time. One would think that with 6 seconds left we would try to get it going towards our end instead of away from it.

Great point Kyle. I would think that GMac would quickly notice this inbounding fix and make the adjustment. But nothing. These are the types of things that I had expected to see corrected methodically throughout the season. I guess my expectations are too high as right now I am not seeing sound basketball, even for a newly built team.

With that said, GMac has shown at UNI that he can build a great team with fundamentals, so I will blame my confusion on my lack of coaching knowledge and not his.

If you cannot pass the ball inside, you cannot run an offense. We can dribble, but we are a team lost for an identity. Curtis and Will had an identity. Brock does not look very good at this point - too small. Jiri and Marsden look like they have peaked as players. Grayu is getting better. Frankly, I expect more team passing even early in the year. I do not want to be be saying we have more time to develop, because a losing streak can pile up fast from here with Iowa, Bradley and OSU. Defense is fine, offense is much worse than last year. Clark looks like he remains scraed of taking charge. Cory looks Drakelike. Korver of Drake is their fifth best player although a fine coach on the floor. If I was Iowa, I would rehire Tom Davis. He has some fine players. Drake and UNI may be better than ISU and Iowa.

I know Drake isn't that good, but Dr. Tom had several days to prepare for us, he has a lot of seniors in there, and his style of basketball (pressing guards who haven't really proven they can no turn the ball over) is working out for them. It also helps when Drake doesn't miss any shots....

That being said, I think ISU will come back here in the second half. Just goes to show you that about any team in Division 1 can win against anyone...Let's go CLONES!

Don't forget ...............Davis has faced Coach Mac at least 6 times in the last 3 years...........Maybe he knows his tendencies. This game will go to the wire.
