One of my friends whos a Hawk freak is even surprised with how under rated Sims is. Says hes just about as good as Sash if not better. But the difference between him and other Hawks fans is hes not just a ******* homer(well he can be) who doesn't know anything about other teams.. hell 3/4 of Iowas fanbase probably doesn't even know who half the starters of their own team are.

So performance on the field has been covered statistically, and they have found to be equal. On the field, I can say I have watched Sash play, seen his highlights, all that stuff. Many of Sash's interceptions were not high skill interceptions. Many were soft tips, and one was the luckiest play I have ever seen at Iowa or ISU. Using the eye test, Sims is a better athlete, better run supporter. Sash probably has slightly better instincts as a ball hawk, but his stats are inflated by easy picks, as I stated earlier.

As for the second part of your answer, I stated specifically that that was not something I wanted to hear. It means nothing, because none of those writers watch ISU because we are not a nationally popular/ranked team.

Again, you think Arizona state is nationally popular / ranked team??

Ok to answer your UCLA/ASU point.

Moore had 10 ints, good for the most in the nation. With that statistic, he is basically a shoe in for the award. A

As for Burfict from ASU, I have literally no idea why he makes the list with 61 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 FF. That makes literally no sense to me. Other than if he has some extremely ridiculous potential, but even then it seems stupid.

Man just give up...you can't reason with unreasonable people. Just let the season/their careers play out and then it will be irrefutable.

Sash played against far better competition.

Arizona, Penn State, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Michigan State, Northwestern, Georgia Tech

vs.

Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Missouri

Remind me why Michigan State gets on but Kansas State doesnt? MSU went 6-7 while KSU went 6-6. While KSU's schedule might be weaker, it's still worth it to put on the list. Also Iowa as an opponent going 11-2 makes it look a little more even.

Edit: And why add Gtech? They never pass the ball, so his coverage wasn't a factor. Was it his outstanding run support? He only had one tackle.....

Quoted from the OP:
DL: Iowa. This one really isn't up for debate, Iowa is just so dominate and deep up front. Klug, Binns, Ballad, and Clayborn will all be all big ten at the end of the year and are all extremely disruptive. I think our D Line is improved from last years D Line but still is one of the weak points of the team. Rump and Johnson are nice players but aren't world beaters and will struggle at times. Parker and Neal have a lot of experience but are very small and will get worn down come big 12 play.
The word in bold bugs me very much. Why do people say, or write "dominate" when they really mean dominant?

Def: Dominate, DAH-min-ate (vb): to rule, or control; to have a commanding position, or controlling power over.

Def: Dominant, DAH-min-ant (adj): commanding, controlling, or prevailing over all others <the dominant culture>; very important, powerful, or successful <a dominant theme> <a dominant industry>.

Iowa's d-line dominates its opposition.

Iowa's d-line is one of the most dominant in the Big Ten conference.

Please understand that dominate is a verb describing the act of control, or mastery over an object; and dominant is an adjective describing the status of the subject.

Let's get this right people! :skeptical:

I also find it hilarious that you leave Iowa off of our tough competition list and include Ga Tech, who has less of a passing attack than WDM Valley, on yours.

I figured Iowa went without saying.

Are you honestly putting down Georgia Tech? They finished 11-3 last year.

If Iowa went without saying, wouldn't Ohio State go without saying on your list? You managed to list them.

As for Ga Tech, I'm putting down their passing attack, yes. I also think gameplanning for a month for a team that can't pass the ball isn't all that difficult.

Georgia Tech would have destroyed Iowa State by 30 in the Orange Bowl.
