I drove straight through home from Orlando after our last bowl there, just me driving. We had planned to stop somewhere to sleep about half way. But there was a predicted winter storm coming and we wanted to beat it.I just meant 24 drive hours.

I do not recommend doing that. It was a looooong drive straight through!
Ya I used to travel for work. I did Houston to Ft Lauderdale after working a 14 hour shift. Yuck.I drove straight through home from Orlando after our last bowl there, just me driving. Just reading through this thread, some of you clearly have issues.
Regarding flying versus driving, we offered to fly our daughter home with us. She said no, she would rather take the bus. They are 18-22 year olds, while it’s a long bus ride and the accident was very unfortunate, cross country bus rides are all part of the experience. They did get to watch the basketball game on the bus.
Some of those Pokémon Cards are probably worth something now!!!!We (the young men of the trumpet section) brought our Game Boys and had a Pokémon tournament.
My son seems to play more Magic right now than Pokémon.

I'm glad that they are all OK! Great kids. I'm sure they had a wonderful experience, despite the bus trips and the accident. They did fly to the Big 12 Championship game. I am sure Orlando would have been pricey.
Haha. I just left another thread where fellow Cyclones seemed to be eating themselves.Oh man, let me get some popcorn.
Yeah, I’ve driven from CR to Orlando twice, and I’d never try it straight through solo. Came back without an overnight stay one time, but I had someone to share driving duty with me.I drove straight through home from Orlando after our last bowl there, just me driving. When I was in FAA training in Oklahoma City, I drove back to Rochester, Minnesota, after a full Friday shift one weekend. Drove all night, got home as the sun was coming up. Came dangerously close to falling asleep on I-35 between Ames and Clear Lake; if I hadn’t stopped for coffee there I couldn’t have made it.Ya I used to travel for work. After the Alamo bowl I made the trip back to the Albert Lea area non stop (besides gas and restroom, which were usually the same). Got groggy around Des Moines and an energy drink pushed me through. When I was in FAA training in Oklahoma City, I drove back to Rochester, Minnesota, after a full Friday shift one weekend.
