It’s a wee bit sad…

All being adults is purely speculative. Being older than 30 usually bring criticism on this site.

Not so much in the WBB forum. LOL. I'm pretty sure the most active posters in the WBB forum are well past 30.

Seems like an over-reaction. Apparently, this is a thread for over-reaction. Do you really think that CW's response puts you at risk of a ban? It seems to me that he just returned your volley with a slam. If there are misunderstandings that deserve clarification, address them. If they don't deserve clarification, ignore them.

There are plenty of us who welcome your contributions. Just put a few others on your "ignore list" and things will be much better. Or just post and functionally ignore them. Or not. It's your call.

the reaction made by Mr.Williams wasn’t to the actual content and purpose of my post as I explained earlier. No sense belaboring something that is misunderstood. A Different reaction would have been to ask for clarification rather than being reactionary and that would have led to a more in-depth and meaningful discussion which was the original intent. And I’m positive he could have contributed valuable insight to it from his unique position.

"Misunderstood" by others and/or "ambigously stated" from the outset?

I'm still not clear about what you really meant by the statement "But geesh….we have posters here asking why national pundits never talk about the team or Ashley and yet those vested in covering the program give it minimal coverage. This is the best and greatest womens team in the history of ISU basketball and it deserves better. Rant over."

If you weren't referring to CF, then clarify. Or if you had something specific in mind that CF should be doing, just say so.

It now sounds like you might want the CF people to explain why others who are "vested in covering the program give it minimal coverage." Maybe it was even a shot at how other local coverage focused on the Team Out East rather than the team still in tournament. I can see how both are possible intentions.

The original post was ambiguous in that I don't think of those other outlets as "being vested" in covering our women's program (or anything other than men's football and basketball). The only outlet that comes to mind as "being vested" is CF.

You've pointed out what "Mr. Williams" could have done differently, but not what you could have done differently, such as simply provide clarification of what you consider to be misunderstood intentions. Who hasn't posted something that has been taken in directions we didn't intend?

It seems unfortunate that you are choosing to opt out at what may be the pinnacle of the program, but you do what you feel you need to do. And ,y hope is that you can rejoin the conversation at some point in the future.

P.S. What does CW's dad have to do with this? :jimlad:

I did provide clarification. And I’m opting out of pushing the button on a run amok thread, not on supporting and writing about the team. If you followed the Wbb section of CF you'd already know that.
