Borzello just tweeted that he talked to a source that thinks all charges will be dropped. If true, good for Ray Lee.

Nice reaction.

So, if the the charges are dropped, one might conclude he was falsely accused. That IS possible. See: Duke Lacrosse. If not, and he is proven guilty, then: bad Ray Lee, dispicable.

But I guess in your mind, this is already done - if he's charged, then he's guilty, no need for due process, and a trial??

Edit: post in response to a post by JCREEK that was obviously removed for getting personal.

Do you have proof that he did? Proof is the burden of the accuser.

I have no dog in this. Try to read the post sans emotion. If he didn't do what the accuser said he did, then that is obviously a good thing for Mr. Lee. I he DID do what e is accused of, that is very bad for Mr. Lee. plain and simple.

Innocent until proven guilty. It's sort of an important idea in this country of ours.

Yeah have to see how the process plays out, I was falsely arrested for 2nd Degree Burglary Class D Felony once. That got dropped without me doing anything, over-aggressive law enforcement a holes. They don't think much about charging someone when they do it or how that will affect the accused's reputation.

Here's the deal with sexual assualts. No father, mother or family member wants to see daughter grilled by a def atty in court. They make the victim the accussed in all these cases. For example the u of i football cases same thing. So the family tells the victim to not press charges because of the brutal court hearings on victims. Its not right but thats the facts. I'm all about a fair trail but it will never happen....What victim wants to go through that.... Bottom line why was he in that spot anyway on a visit...

You have zero idea if that is what happened in this case. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Pure speculation on your part.

Here's the deal with sexual assaults... yeah they can be tough on the accuser, but so can any trial, regardless of whether its sexual abuse... but there are evidence rules in all 50 states specifically addressing what can and cannot be inquired about in sexual assault cases... victim's are protected. It isnt like a defense atty can go in court and bring up every guy she's ever had sex with

Wrong she is put on the stand and grilled her social life is fair game. Where did you get that bad info.... Do you not remember the Kobe Bryant trial in colorado. Cederic Everson Iowa city, Piere Peirce and the list goes on and on. I'm in court several times a month and this is how it works. The burden of proof being on the county atty to prove this assault happened and I'm telling you many families choose to not go through with the charges. Its a flaw in our legal system but the accused have rights as well. Think about it as this if it were your daughter what would you do????

You're free to choose what to believe, but there is more than one way to look at charges being dropped. It could very well be that he's innocent. False accusations happen an awful lot, too.

Good point, not to mention the 25% DNA mismatch between accused rapists and crime scene evidence. A LOT of innocent people falsely accused and in prison.

I could say the same about alot of people who committed rape and are still free to be out looking for your daughter, sister or mother. They say over 60% of rapes go without charges being filed... 60% that is crazy we don't even charge half the people in this country who commit rape.... And by the way his prep school coach kicked him off the team he is done on that team....And he will not be coming to ISU ever.....
