so can we let it be over?

I don't want to read NU fans congratulations, jeers, taunts, complaints about facemasks or observations regarding the game.

Can the mods please ban the huskers. I ask this respectfully. NU fans no longer have any value for this site or it's readers. Please turn them all off.

There's too much history between NU and ISU to just forget it all. I know some of you are ticked at us, but I've always been impressed with the ISU fans I've met in person.

My ONLY two recurring complaints about playing in Ames are:

1. The Cyclones have played spoiler on our seasons more than once.

2. The weather, more often than not, is colder than hell.

Tell Tom Osborne; we don't give a ****. We're off your schedule, for good. Why be here?

I hope some Iowam Husker fans will jump on board and become casual Cyclone fans.

Wishful thinking? Maybe. But maybe some fans who, previously, had to choose between ISU and Nebraska, will now choose to do a little of both. I've seen a lot of Husker posts along the lines of "Ames has been good to us, good tailgating, good fans...etc etc."

If that's the case, maybe we'll see a few more clone fans come next season.

Maybe we can all hate the Hawks together now?

Signed,
A lifelong Husker hater

EDIT: Basically, I'm giving Husker fans the undeserved benefit of the doubt until they screw it up.

EDIT 2: I still will never be a Husker fan, but would support some band-wagoners in the future.

Best wishes mean ****. Are they going to buy tickets? Gear? Husker fans have no value minus delivering pizzas and pumping gas.

This. Lets focus and get our 6th win this upcoming week against CU.

Couldn't agree more. It's over folks... there's not one thing we can do about it now. We can second guess play calls & missed opportunities till we're blue in the face, but it won't change a thing. We went into this season hoping (praying) for another bowl game and that's well within our reach yet. We asked CPR to continually improve this program and make us competitive again in his first couple years... I think we're well on our way. I'm positive that the big game wins against the top 10 teams are in our future - and I can't say I felt that way in the past about our program. As much as we want miracles to happen right away, unfortunately, the building of a program takes time. I'm sure there might even be a few more heartbreakers before we get there, but we just have to take these as stepping stones and build on them. Right now we just need to concentrate on beating CU and give our team & coaches the support they deserve because I think they've earned it at this point. Just my two cents...

Normally I'd say it is immature to ask to ban all fans of another site... but Husker boards have banned all opposing fans all weeks for the past decade. Screw them, I live in Big Ten country and have eleven new favorite teams (behind ISU of course).

If you ban us, how can we encourage you to beat, and congratulate you when you do beat the Hawkeyes?

I can't wait to hear the weather complaints when Nebby visits Ann Arbor, East Lansing, Chicago, Madison, etc... There won't be anymore nice warm trips to Austin, College Station or Norman anymore!

Exactly my point. As hard as it is to believe; ISU doesn't need validation from a fanbase as arrogant as Nebraska's. We don't need or want your encouragement. Tom Osborne and NU made the relationship between the universities disappear; you should follow your leader and do the same.

Well,
-My boss is a life long Nebraska fan, and lives in Gilbert, is a Season Ticket holder with 4 tickets and donates at the Cardnial Level to the NCC.
-My buddy is a life long Husker fan that lives in Ankeny, works in Ames, and is a season ticket holder in my group for the last 3 seasons, and attended ISU for a couple of semesters.
Some of the Big Red fans do buy and support Cyclone Sports.

So they'll continue to do so then? You just named two fans that bought tickets to see NU play.

Furthermore, I doubt that they post here so what's wrong with a husker ban?

Ya and what is wrong with that? They love football, tailgating and they are supporting Iowa State. Believe me, I saw plenty of Husker fans that I will be glad never to see again, but to lump them all into the same catagory is going overboard.

I am not sure you are supporting Iowa State in a postive way, with all the anger that are spewing.

IMO the weather aspect is overblown by husker fans. It's a myth. Weather in Ames is only a few degrees colder than Omaha on average. Nebraska fans act like they're playing in Canada.

Didn't you know, that playing football in Nebraska is as close to heaven as you can get?:twitcy:

You are seriously dense. My OP is about banning NU fans since we'll no longer participate in athletics, hence they have NOTHING to talk about here. It's great that your boss bought (past tence) tickets but he won't anymore and he doesn't post here so there's no reason to keep NU fans around, is there?

What is it exactly that you want to read from husker fans on this board?
