Aesthetics, man. We also didn't really "need" to bowl in the south endzone either, but I'm glad we finally did.

I think bowling in the SEZ and adding the Sukup Club adds revenue generating capabilities. I think a new press box would probably be revenue neutral if not negative.

I don’t know if we NEED a new press box. Maybe @JStanz51 can chime in on the conditions inside of the press box in terms of capacity, technology, etc.

But a longer press box would definitely look cooler.

Stanz can chime in but if I remember correctly it is far from being a nice press tower. Other than the suites in there it is most if not all cement floors from what I remember. Not sure if the press seating area is air conditioned now or not.

When Randy retires I bet we upgrade it.

It is air conditioned. It's not the greatest or most up to date press box, but it does the job.

While waiting for the "my hot chocolate was too hot/cold" survivors' meeting.

Listen. If we can put a man on the moon then we should have hot chocolate that's a perfect temp.

We have science is the name of the damn school. Let's get it dialed in.

Also let's figure out how to piss from our seat....and not on the lady in front of us. Sorry about that.

But will it contain coaches that want to beat up replay officials?
Maybe we can get the UFC to sponsor it and they can put a mini octagon on the top. Throw in fat ferentz and let him take his lickings!

A cool drone video of the stadium and all the improvements....

JTS looks a bit junior league (compared to the BIG & SEC stadi) with that tiny press box and now major donor suites on that level. I wonder when they'll bowl in the north end zone? And, if we do get in the BIG, do we anticipate that the 2nd level will be removed and replaced with a larger 2nd level which will be a bit higher and come closer to the field with a significantly greater capacity that will get JTS to 75K-80K?

Apparently CMC’s preference is a third tier on both sides first.

And we all know that Matt Campbell gets what Matt Campbell wants.

Kinnick is at 69K, 7th largest in the Big 10. ISU would rank 8th in stadium size right now at 61,500.
