Testifying
Woodley got ******* tagged. That ain’t theater. If he was paid to take a dive, it must have been a lot because he got lit up.
And he faceplanted without bracing himself which is tough to do subconsciously.

Not exactly sure.
I’m sick of this take. He what like 6 fights in to his boxing career? Find a normal boxer besides Lomo that fought anyone at the level of who this guy is fighting to start his career . He fought a legit UFC champion, he was scheduled to fight little fury and fury pulled out. He has legit power and he is learning the game. Everyone wants to see him fight Canelo 6 fights in his career. It’s dumb.

I’m not a big Paul brothers fan but they are bringing excitement to a sport, paying the undercard fighters more than any other promoters out there.
Who was the legit UFC champion, honest don’t know much about this guy.

Woodley is a former UFC welterweight champ. Granted…he is almost 40, so…
He fell hard and fast out of the UFC as well. I don't think he's won a fight since Usman took his belt like 4 years ago. Paul is right though (don't like the guy, but appreciate the respect he showed post fight), Woodley was the GOAT - for awhile; but time stops for no man.

For anyone who watched the undercard, is there any context to Gores reaction here or did he just forget where he was for a moment?

Woodley was never the GOAT in UFC. He was the champ but not the GOAT.

Woodley was a monster for a few years there. I don't know what he ranked out P4P at that time. His abilities were all physical, so the fiscal cliff would hit him hard.

Agree to disagree I guess. He ran the middleweight division from 2016 thru 2018.

-KO Robbie Lawler to win the belt (7/2016)
-Maj. Draw Title Defense against Stephen Thompson (11/2016)
-Maj. Decision Title Defense II against Stephen Thompson (3/2017)
-Unanimous Decision Demian Maia Title Defense III (7/2017)
-Submits Darren Till Title Defense IV (9/2018)
-Loses Unanimous Decision to Kamaru Usman (3/2019)

He beat Josh Koscheck (KO), Carlos Condit (TKO), Kelvin Gastelum (Split Dec.) [catchweight] leading up to his title shot. That's a pretty solid 'who's who' of middleweight fighters from the 20-teens.

I guess the way I've always looked at UFC 'GOATs' is that they are the GOAT for a time because unless you walk away like Khabib did then your body/age will eventually catch-up to you. Look at Nunes two-weeks ago - is she not a bantamweight GOAT regardless of eventually being bested?

Woodley is a surefire HOF inductee with 5 world titles and 4 title defenses (more than: BJ Penn, Frankie Edgar, Max Holloway, Stipe Miocic, Khabib Nurmagomedov, etc. https://www.fightmatrix.com/ufc-records/title-defenses/).

Top Ten from his debut in the P4P rankings in August 2016 until he lost to Usman in March of 2019.

I don't blame anyone for a money-grab, but call a spade a spade. Dude's making a career out of fighting past-their-prime non-boxers, and that's a hard thing to get too geared up about.

I mean, it's entertaining. Watching a couple of really talented boxers dance around the ring for 12 rounds to finish with a controversial decision isn't very much fun. Watching Paul walk in with his hands at his hips and throw a huge wind up haymaker like he's in a Rocky movie is definitely more entertaining. Not something he could pull of against a real boxer, but it's definitely entertaining.

Jake Paul is the best at "monetizing his haters". People keep buying these fights to watch him get knocked out and then see him just kill his opponent. its masochistic but they are addicted.
