Okay. Would you feel better if I said 21 points on 13 FG? Or “shots from the floor”?

Jesus man. We just beat a top 10 team that was super personal for a lot of our team and the fan base and this is your contribution to the thread?

How miserable must you be?
How dare you use a statistic/phrasing that literally every basketball fan understands? The least you could have done is provide unnecessary details and specifics that don’t provide any clarification whatsoever. For shame.

So sorry. Next time I will do better.

Going to write true shooting percentage equation on the blackboard 100 times now. Everyone else enjoy the victory against UT that I ruined.

Anybody know what the dust up between Holmes and the TX coach after the game was (as each team was going through the line shaking hands)?

That's juicy. I hope somebody has the details for the rest of us who streamed the telecast and didn't see the ending. I wouldda thought UT would go after Grill.

Holmes made an "Ashley Joens" shot tonight. Took the ball into the lane right up to two players, pivoted, then pivoted back, and went right between them for a lay-up.
My first thought too. Holmes is great at getting shots in the lanes with the old school pivot and patience that Jones has mastered.

HIGHLY recommend listening to him on the post game radio (you can get it through cyclones.com and the varsity app---they both have the audio replays)---he was really fun to listen to and pretty funny.

Last player on the radio last night wasn't he? He was IMPRESSED with Hilton last night.

I've got to listen again, but the part about loving the guys was great! Something like "I love Grill! He's the first person I see in the morning and I love that guy!"

I'm sure that is a terrible paraphrase.

And he said something like "there were a lot of things going on" early int the game. I'll have to go back and listen because it was really funny.

It's always fun for me to hear from the players once they truly feel Hilton. And honestly that's probably why there is so much hate towards Hunter. There are so many of us that spend a lot of money and a lot of time for years to try and make that place special. And even though it's irrational and stupid, it is personal when someone makes a big show of leaving. I didn't boo him or yell it him, but the passion that people have about it is what makes Hilton special.

Hilton showed out well last night, the continuous noise that got even louder when Hunter got the ball was pretty cool. Also I must have cheered more than I thought my voice was a little raspy this a.m.

Missed it entirely. I thought the T we got last night was weak though.

Both Holmes and Osun are so articulate. I fell in love with them the first time I heard them interviewed. Thoughtful, well-spoken, clever, and competitive. These are grown men. Kudos to Coach Schmidt for making the connection for us.

Agree completely. And their personality comes thru too, which doesn't always in these kinds of intereviews where guys tend to be really guarded. Like an asst coach, but without the coachspeak. You can tell they are having fun and HAPPY with where they are. Really easy to root for these guys.

I was going to compliment his free throw shooting and how I am least worried when he was on the line tonight, but apparently he's only shooting around 70%....could have fooled me, and he kept hitting them. 83% for the game

You couldn’t ask for a better game from him. 23 points on really efficient shooting. 5/6 at the line. 7 dimes and only one TO.

I didn’t have audio on for part of the game, but did he go on a 10-0 by himself at one point early in the second?

Love this guy.

Announcers just deep throating Nowell all game. Meanwhile Holmes scores same amount on 6 less field goal attempts and has one TO compared to 4. So typical of ESPN.
