Rewatching the game, it looked like we magically had a different Oline during the 4th quarter.. During the first half, it seemed like our guys were consistently getting thrown out of the way/not getting any push, but that 20 some yard run by DM was set up from the center/LG pulling and VERY successfully playing essentially a power blocking scheme.. What is the reason for the inconsistency? Was it just the adrenaline/momentum in our favor in the 4th?

We need an OC bad. Campbell does a nice job for being on the sideline, but you really can't see $h*t from that angle. Definitely hurt us this season. Very excited to find out who we hire this off-season

How about Jay Jordan?

This may not come across right, but does the staff see/understand the issues/corrections that Jay brings up in this (and his other) article? Or do they disagree with Jay's approach, philosophically? It sounds like most of our issues are very correctable, if we make the proper adjustments. I don't have the depth of knowledge to know if they are fixing these things or not.

I’m surprised we don’t run more screens to Montgomery like the Rams do to Gurley. Maybe we don’t have the o-line capabilities to do this but it seems like it could be effective

May have been a possibility vs. Texas if they were blitzing so much.

I have blasted the OL all year, and with good reason, but for some reason, when ISU absolutely had to protect Purdy and move the ball they dominated the LOS. They were particularly impressive after the targeting penalty was waved off against KSU. (I didn't have a lot of trouble with it being overturned, it was nothing like the 3 that got picked up last year, and they at least reviewed the play) The OL buried a couple guys on the TD that followed the penalty, and the 9 and 11 yard runs to end the game were refreshing after seeing ISU manage to lose several games over the last 10 years because they just couldn't make a freaking first down.
