They did show him on camera at least twice.
Settles also commented that it was one thing to see how aggressive Iowa State‘s defense was on tape, and another when he was able to actually watch them courtside last night.
I think he’s involved pretty heavily with the family farm. A lot of times when he’s on Miller and Condon he’s calling from a tractor or combine. So not sure how many games he’d actually want.
I think Jess will graduate this spring. I could be wrong.
I am aware of this. Just referring to his 4+ multiple years playing as his 'Covid' years. Played against him a couple times, back in the day.
The other announcer asked him how he didn't get his doctorate at Iowa, which I thought was pretty funny.
Really sad that he's not making "they make you hate the game of basketball" a thing. Haven't heard it lately and liked it almost as much as his national title contender talk.
He’s actually improving and you can tell knows the teams more and more beyond ISU. Def above average now for the non marquee crews.
I liked him as a player but I was an Iowa fan at the time.
Give me Jess Settles any day we can't get Fran.
The funny thing is that I normally do not like many announcers (not named Fran). However, I appreciate the fact that he makes a point to be complimentary to ISU. He's trying to be good, fair and impartial.
