It's comical that you come accross like you want Boylen for any other reason than to help land Clyburn. If Fred wanted to sell a coaching job to get players he'd be better served with an AAU coach.

Cydkar, this whole thread is a fail.


Those that follow basketball realize that Boylen would have been a potential candidate regardless of Clyburn's interest in ISU. You must not be familiar with him:

-4 years as a head coach bringing Utah two the NCAA in Year 2
-2 years as a top assistant to Izzo
-11 years as an assistant in the NBA

that's my point, nobody in this thread knows that much about Boylen other that Clayburn left Utah because he got fired. If we're gonna start selling coaching positions (which is exactly what this thread is about) to get players we should get better players with more years to play.

Now to say it in a less offensive manner, hire a coach with strong AAU ties.
It may be what the thread is about but it was not the intention of the thread. I just wanted some talk about a possible assistant coach, and then I realized it was brought up in another thread.
